Driving my car Audi A3 35TFSI 2021 plate with 16K miles, the electrical systems fault came up in red (do not drive car) call UK dealership. As the car would not select neutral or start after turning it off, i had a recovery truck take it to Audi Dealership in Preston for diagnostics check. after over a week, the diagnostics came back that it needs a new 48V battery replacement and associated items at a cost of £1900 + £216 for diagnostics. I am sure they think of a price £ as they know you need the car fixed. looking at the many forums on this issue, it seems that its a common fault, so why aren't the cars being recalled ? and not just a way of ripping of the owners, I have driven Audi cars for 15 years with no issue, until i decided to buy a new model A3... I wish i had never bothered and kept my old Audi instead. I have contacted Audi UK to see what if any they can help with the costs, as i have had to resort to hiring a car whilst the Audi is waiting in a the dealership. 2-3 weeks as i was told there on backorder , this alone is a joke, after buying a premium car, still paying finance on the car, hiring a car, there is no speed to the repair. If anyone can advice if they have had the same issue, got compensation from Audi or anything like that. i would welcome the reply. at this stage, i would not recommend any Audi going forward and will be parting company with the car on its return Thanks
