  1. The offset will just affect whether or not it sticks out or sits inside the arch. I would have thought that small difference would be ok but I couldn't guarantee it! Do you have the option to try one on there?
  2. Looks pretty smart. A little more power from the larger engine is always nice! :P
  3. Wow that does sounds steep. I would have expected over £100 but £240! Let us know how you get on!
  4. Hi and welcome! :) Why not start a project thread and update with pictures so we can see how you get on. With regards to wrapping, yes it is cheaper than painting and obviously it is non permanent but it never quite looks the same as paint. Depends if you like the look or not?
  5. I would have suggested ebay like you said. Either keep trying or maybe a scrapyard depending on the year of your car. Have you got a price from Audi out of interest?
  6. Hi Mick welcome! :) Could be a number of things. Injectors faults lead to a recall on some cars so worth checking this out. Also sensors like the MAF sensor and so on are worth checking!
  7. Hi J welcome! :) Sounds like a nice A3 I'm sure she will serve you well!
  8. I have also heard you need to remove the bumper to do this which is a bit of a pain. Let us know how you get on.
  9. Hi Daz, If it worked originally it will more than likely be a loose connection where you have pushed it in and it was quite tight. Could have popped something out so I would check this first. If it was the earth that wasn't connected it wouldn't have turned on at all.
  10. HI Mark welcome :) To be honest with the DPF removed and remap it will probably drive better and potentially have less issues but yes as you stated it will now be an MOT failure so it depends if you want to run the risk. A lot of cars that have had their DPF's removed have had it done so as to make it look as if it is still there but as you say it could still be a risk so up to you.
  11. Hi and welcome. What year is your Q7?
  12. May be worth checking all the sensors to see if it is an electrical fault?
  13. Hi and welcome to the club! :) Nice looking A3!
  14. Hi Russell welcome to the club! :) Nice looking A6!
  15. Yes let us know how you get on! :)
  16. Hi and welcome to the club! Try leaving the radio switched on for one hour. Sometimes if they are in safe mode this can do the trick!
  17. It may be that the clips are broken and simply need replacing although difficult to say without looking at it?
  18. HI and welcome to the club! :) Sounds like you got lucky with your Alfa having no problems in 90k miles. They're lovely cars it's just a shame about their reputation for reliability etc. I would get the cambelt done and I wouldn't worry about Audi say. Manufacturers these days set the limit sky high to appeal to fleet buyers early on. Normally Audi's are fairly good with regards to corrosion so a good quality repair should last. Audio is fairly easy to change as long as you have the right leads and adaptors etc
  19. A gear oil change may be a good place to start and maybe the brake fluid as this is used to operate the clutch too.
  20. Yes I would imagine it would require someone with the relevant Audi software and cable. When you're on the phone does the volume adjust with the control on radio?
  21. HI welcome to the club! :) Get some photos up when you can!
  22. I reckon it will still get better over the next few thousand miles for you guys. However, as you say using all the heater/lights/wipers etc and the low temperatures over winter don't help plus as you said it's town driving not motorway.
  23. Is it the factory fitted system? If so it sounds like it could just need reprogramming or something?
  24. It's definitely possible but to be honest it would probably be very expensive. Could be simpler to sell up and buy a TFSI but depends if you want the fun of building it yourself I guess! :D
