  1. Hi Lloyd welcome to the club! Looking forward to seeing the results of your mods!
  2. Have you looked into a handirack? http://www.handiworld.com/handirack-1.html May be ok for occasional use!
  3. The flap motors have been known to go on other Audi models so not sure if this also affects the Q7? Symptoms sound similar? I think it can be a relatively inexpensive fix if this proves to be the problem.
  4. Not 100% sure on this but I have done some digging around on the internet and other people seem to suggest that it will be ok.
  5. I'm not sure how reliable that app is for providing accurate power etc? I would expect a car to lose a little power after that sort of mileage but not 50bhp. I would be inclined to get a full service done and maybe take it to a specialist with a rolling road after this just to see if you get similar results. Are you happy with the way it drives? Does it feel like it's down on power?
  6. Welcome to the club! Sounds like you have a nice car there try and get some pics up! :)
  7. I haven't seen much of those tyres but I always recommend sticking with a decent brand and having 4 matching tyres. All my cars have always driven far better having 4 matching tyres!
  8. Try superchips they're pretty reputable and have been doing it for years http://www.superchips.co.uk/search?make=2&fueltype=2&model=389&variant=2348
  9. Hi Paul welcome to the club! Good luck finding a nice Quattro! :)
  10. No worries let us know if you find something good...
  11. I would definitely go with a remap rather than a tuning box. A tuning box is just something that fits 'in between' and messes with the signals sent. A remap is where the map on the actual ECU is changed for a new one and it does not require any physical modification. As long as you get it done by somebody reputable then this is definitely the way to go :)
  12. Style is something Audi definitely seem to get right. They have a good formula and they stick with it.
  13. There are people out there who fix OEM cd players etc but it will depend on the cost as to what your best option is. If you want to keep the OEM look then getting it repaired will be a lot more cost effective than Audi as they will want a silly amount for a new one. If this doesn't worry you then you should be able to get some good value by going down the after market route.
  14. Hi and welcome! I haven't seen any genuine Audi rubber mats I'm afraid only carpet - but I could be wrong. If you're not worried about them being genuine then there's loads of options on ebay. How come you're after rubber anyway?
  15. Hi and welcome to the club! Looking forward to the pics! :)
  16. Hi Mark, Welcome to the club! :) It's difficult to say without having a feel for myself as to exactly how stiff it is but at a guess I would say it sounds fine if it's ok in manual mode. Probably just solid build quality as you say! Worth getting them to change the fluid if you buy it though!
  17. Hi and welcome to the club! :) Are you looking to fit aftermarket DRLs or genuine Audi? If it's aftermarket you want then you can pretty much fit any style you like and wire them in manually. If it's genuine Audi then it will get much more expensive...
  18. No worries. There are still people that do removal whilst leaving the casing so it looks like it's still there but obviously at your own risk etc...
  19. Hi and welcome to the club! :) Depends on how much smoke? Have you tried running a fuel system cleaner through and taking it for a rag? Using all the revs getting it nice and warm etc?
  20. Hi Damien, With regards to DPF removal, yes it can be done but it is being made illegal and will result in MOT failure from next year due to emissions etc see here: http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/car-news/consumer-news/84818/mot-test-fail-dpf-removal For a remap try someone like superchips, they've been doing it for years and are fairly well respected.
  21. It's a shame Audi can't see it when it happens. It's just one of those things you get where the problem won't perform when you try and show someone :(
  22. Glad you're enjoying the new Audi! Surprising to hear about all the problems with the Mazda. Normally Jap cars are fairly well screwed together - well apart from the cheap feeling interior plastics of course! :)
  23. Have you looked in the setting to see if the option is enabled? If not I have a feeling that on some of the older version of MMI it was not available or you could only have that OR an iPod connection?
