  1. reading the forums i have found out about what my 2008 (57) - Audi A6 3.0 TDI sline Le Mans Quattro can do which i never knew before like holding the unlock button down on the key fob will open the windows and the same holding the button down when locking the car will close the windows :)

i`ve yet to try the passenger mirror pointing down when reversing as i cant find the post again.

are there any other tricks or tips i may be missing out on

  2. Hi guys just swapped over phones before i had a google nexus 6 that connected via blue tooth to my 2008 (57) - Audi A6 3.0 TDI sline Le Mans Quattro with no issues i now have an lg g5 i can not pair with the car, i done a few searches via google and found a work around were the car gives me a long digit code to enter in the phone and it then connects only draw back is i lose signal on the phone and everytime i turn off bluetooth the signal comes back and i keep getting texts from vodafone saying looks like you have swapped sims, and i have to get new settings for my phone, pain in the backside anyone else using an LG phone with their car and have it working?

    +1 for Travall

I've just bought an '09 A6 Allroad and bought the full kit from them (boot liner, dog guard and centre divider) and its a great piece of kit - fits perfectly, well made and most of all - it doesn't rattle! Expensive but worth it in my opinion.

yep not cheap but like you say it fits well and does the job well

    £50 a wheel is a fantastic price! :)

He is doing me a favour, not going to say its a private job but that is one of his cars that need the work doing, cant fault the after sales :P

  5. Thanks for the reply, been in touch with the garage i brought the car from and he has told me he will get them done using the guy he uses for £50 a wheel and will finish them in black for me, so i`m a happy bunny :) was going to do them gray like they are now but think the black will look stylish

  6. Still have my original Alloys on my 57 plate car and looking a bit worn now, can anyone suggest a site that does either refurb or new alloys at a decent price tyre size is 255 35 zr19 i have looked but just lost in the world of sites selling alloys

  7. Why do some Audi cars have chain belts and some cam belts, i`m sure there`s a simple reason, i think i`m one of the lucky ones who have a chain belt after i was told from a local garage after a service that the cam belt had never been replaced and without taking the front of the car off they could not be sure if i was running on a cam or chain belt even when they made a call to a local parts firm who said i was on a cam belt, my garage advised me to call Audi where the car was sold from and they confirmed my A6 was using a chain belt, sigh of relive as i was not looking forward to a cam belt change and the costs involved

  8. My Car is not going to be clocking up loads of miles so i`m thinking of just replacing the run flats with mid range tyres for now as the high performance tyres are a bit out of my budget at this silly time of the year with xmas.

  9. When time comes to replace my tyres what do you suggest stick with what i have at the moment Run Flats or just get normal tyres on my car, i have been looking and the run flats do seem expensive.

Sounds like you've got a great car there...pop up a picture of it if you like, would be great to see it.

Recently had its MOT and passed with no advisories so looking forward to many years driving with this car, at some point i want to replace the alloys as their showing there age

  11. First saw my Audi A6 3.0 TDI Le Mans Sline Quattro on a 57 plate on a 2nd hand car forecourt with a price tag of £10, 500 and thought nice car but out of my price range, i passed this car sales everyday and over the the coming weeks noticed the price dropping when i saw it at £8,500 i know then i had the have it, so took the wife up to view it and knew right away she was not impressed lol we have always had big family cars 7 seaters etc even though its only me the wife and 3 kids, extra seats were for taking the kids friends out on day trips.

i was sick of practical family cars and just wanted something that had that look of class, this car came along at the right time and i think was meant to be mine :)

after some tactical sulking from me the wife let me get it so traded in our loved Mitsubishi Grandis for £2000 part ex and got the Audi for £6,500 which i thought was a bargain

So far i can not find nothing to complain about its a great family car with the added bonus of style and speed (when the wife is not in the car lol)
