Welcome to the forums Jason Nice friendly atmosphere here with plenty of Audi owners to help where they can. Please be sure to give the forum rules a quick view If your A4 engine bay is anything like the A6 then the dip stick is tucked away at the front of the engine near the bonnet release catch Paul

Not going to make this one guys, car flew though MOT but wife is under the weather and would be selfish of me to go and leave her to deal with the kids. i have a spare ticket if anyone is in need just message me and i`ll forward it via an email -
if it was the rack would it not show signs of leaking? i`m guessing here as i`m no mechanic
-
Hi Gav since you already done the net search i would consider a trusted local garage to have a look and see what they recommend it could be as cheap as a fluid change or air blockage causing it or like you say an expensive rack change at least this way you have professional advice

i`m holding out the car flies though its MOT tomorrow cant see a problem its just had a major service and inspection and nothing found that needs attention right now 😎
