I'm not 100% sure how to disconnect the battery. I can't see a screw or clip on the + terminal. It says in the manual that systems like the electric windows need to be reset after disconnecting the battery, although it doesn't state how! Through a series of random pushes on the boot close button whilst it's opening/shutting, I can sometimes manage to get it to retract all the way. I then keep the boot close button pressed for a long time, although it doesn't seem to stick.

Have just received our A6 Avant back from the body shop after some repairs, and have noticed that the retractable luggage cover is only sliding back about a third of the way. It moves up and down fine when the boot opens and closes, although only the first third. Is there a trick to resetting this? I called Audi and they suggested holding the boot close button for about 10 seconds to reset, which I didn't think would work as I'd just seen a video on another forum about using that to set the boot height. Any help appreciated.
