  1. Thanks I am always learning and with such a powerful engine I would expect no lag at all, weird that it seems to be this engine on other cars with the same lag issue.
  2. Just to introduce myself. I am on my second Audi A4 the first being a B7 quattro present is a 2016 estate both 2.0 TDI. I have always done my own maintenance once my cars are out of warranty. I have always tried to understand my cars maintenance needs and have the VAG diagnostics which helps. My latest has all the whistles and bells and so far has shown itself unreliable with niggling little faults cropping up. Look forward to Audi sorting the latest fault. On the plus side the wife managed 70+ miles per gallon going down to the isle of wight. The build quality of the new car is not a patch on the old one which was solid. The bonnet on the new car is flimsy as i found out when washing it, seems as if all new cars are being built down to a price these days. My neighbor has just got his new astra estate which is really nasty, not even a bonnet under blanket and loads of little weak bits of plastic everywhere. My first ever car was a ford anglia so here I am showing my age. Love reading the posts.
  3. The link is for the guardian paper and makes interesting reading https://www.theguardian.com/money/2017/mar/25/vw-volkswagen-audi-skoda-seat-emissions-fix-left-car-undriveable. Before you agree to the update you should read this and the recommendation to reverse the update.
  4. I am shocked by what I have read with the above posts and the attitude of the dealers. I would have thought that any work carried out by any garage that negatively affected the operation of your vehicle would be their responsibility to rectify and that trading standards would be interested. I certainly would go down the legal route if the garage failed to return my vehicle in as good a condition as delivered to them.
  5. Had a 2007 A4 Quattro 2.0TDI for 10 years with only a couple of minor faults in all that time now have had a 2016 A4 sport ultra for 5 weeks and been back to garage twice for a start stop fault and now a pre-sence fault. I hope this is not a sign of whats to come.
  6. Unless your in a race I don't see the point of using launch control with the increased wear and risk of damage.
