  1. Hi guys, hoping somebody can help me with this, just bought a new sat nav stereo for my a3 it’s a direct replacement but the buyer said I will need a adapter for the rear speakers to work but not sure which adapter will attach some photos to show which ones I got my eye on and also the wiring that’s with the unit.

  2. Well here is the fault, broken wire but not a easy job. Didn’t do it myself had a mate to do it but he said what a b*****d or a job to do cut the door card to try and release the door but no joy so in the end he took the rear door off and released the front door with a screwdriver from the back. Not quite done it, ordered a new door card today and will hopefully be job done by Tuesday. Hope nobody else will get a problem like this because it’s real headwork lol!

  3. Hi all, I have a 2007 a3 sline sportback and today I went to get in the car and the driver door won’t unlock and I’m tearing my hair out just can’t seem to find what’s wrong. All other doors unlock and open perfect but drivers door won’t budge from inside or outside. It will be a real problem as the windows won’t even open and I need access through the window or door to get in and out of work. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

  4. Hi all, has anyone had any experience changing the a3 concert double din stereo for a aftermarket double din? I have a 2007 sline sportback, just wondering if there’s anything extra to get apart From the iso harness adapter seen a video on YouTube with a bloke running a live to the fuse box. Don’t really want to do that, thinking of getting the unit below. Thanks

  5. Hi all, I was wondering if anybody could help me out and point me in the right direction. I’ve just received my new DRL projector headlights for my a3 sline very smart looking lights. I’ve seen a few videos on YouTube how to change them and every video seems to involve the bumper coming off. Will I be able to change without taking the bumper off as I don’t really fancy taking the whole front bumper off. Any help/advice is much appreciated.

  6. Just a update of the problem, dpf light came on and car went into limp mode. I had a three month warranty from the garage I bought the car from and took it to their dealer garage. The dpf was blocked 180% (so basically knackered) we went down the route of dpf removal and remap and all I can say is wow!!! Car is so much better and the power is crazy. All these problems came down to a blocked dpf so I am now one happy guy and the garage payed half for all the work and remap aswell so couldn't be happier

  7. Thanks for th reply Trevor, I have a fuel cleaner ready to put it just waiting to use up my remaining diesel. For the intake what solutions are out there for that as I've never owned a diesel before I've always been a petrol kind of man. I was maybe thinking of a terraclean as a last solution.

  8. Hi, all had my car read yesterday, and I've got code p3138 which is variable intake manifold, switchover valve; regulation difference. Has anybody had this fault before and could shed some light on it for me please? I've had the glow plug light flashing that's why I had the codes read.

  9. Finally got hold of my cousin today and we plugged the car in, had fault p3183 (variable intake manifold, switchover valve; regulation difference then underneath intermittent but we drove the car then it became permanent. Anyone know of what this problem could be? I bought the car with a 3 month warranty so going to take it back up there tomorrow just looking for some advice on what it could be? Thanks

  10. I'm think there are cables out there that convert apple connection to USB output but not sure how well they work to be honest. You can also get the cable taken away by Audi and have a USB connection installed (pretty pricy I'm guessing on that) but what I can say is to get yourself familiar with apple and their iPods and buy one to put your music on. A iPod nano 4th generation are now only selling for around £20-£30 on eBay with plenty of storage for music

  11. Also noticed this morning that the car is idling a little lumpy and a fair bit of white smoke coming from the exhaust. Could this be related to the glow plug light to come on? Again still all ok when engine is up to temperature

  12. Hi, just wondering if anybody has had the glow light plug flashing on them? Mine is coming on now quite often only when the engine is cold tho I have found. If driven ad warmed up doesn't seem to come on then after the ignition is turned off and back on. The particulate filter light came on a few days back but I've cleared that with a drive down the motorway. Is the problem connected? No loss in power and no limp mode. I'm going to try and get it plugged in when I finally get hold of my cousin lol!

  13. Hi graham thanks for the reply. I'm currently waiting to try a iPod touch from a family member to try first. Don't want to buy one and it won't work. Once my iPhone is connected it charges the phone but obviously nothing will play through the system. Pressed the cd button and on the the screen comes up cd5 and cd6 press cd6 and try skip and it says on the screen on the dash (one in between the clocks) no iPod connected

  14. Hi guys, two weeks into owning my first a3, it's a 2007 s line model, one thing thats got me scratching my head tho is there is a iPhone/iPod connection in the glove box, I've plugged my iPhone 7 into it and tried music but says no iPod connected. Is there certain models that it will only work with or is just iPods? It's the double din concert unit? Any suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks
