2017 A5/S5 After carrying a passenger today who said they could hear water sloshing around I checked the doors but these were all dry. After looking online I then checked the sills and both sides had a substantial amount of water in! I’d guess more than 5 pints. So I’m now leaving both rear plugs out. I found plugs at front and back of the sills close to the wheels. May be worth checking for others too!

Interested to know what was causing this usage? I'm having the opposite experience in trying to find the Maximum possible usage. I did 700 miles last week with Google Maps turned on and traffic data enabled. i did some online searches, loaded pages on local points of interest and accessed street views? I streamed one half of a football match and my wife was streaming iPlayer on the journey, i used 1.4GB. i just can't understand how you'd use 7 GB unless your passengers were streaming movies?

Hi, I've been searching online for this but can't find the definitive answer? When I got the car I signed up for Audi connect and used the App on my phone to send destinations etc. I was given a PIN number and had access to google maps, weather, local info, news etc. Using Nav for the 1st time last week I tried to switch on traffic but got a licence expired message? I called Audi who advised they'd renew it free for 12 months as they don't have a system in place to administer, so now my system is showing it has been renewed. My question is that I'm not actually sure what I've renewed as I seemed to have access to all the main functions prior to renewing the licence? looking online, people seem to be referring to the licence being required for google maps etc, but as I say I already had this? Does the licence therefore just affect traffic support within Navigation? thanks David

Hi Gary, recently went through a similar thought process and used an existing O2 SIM but I couldn't actually monitor the data without taking out and putting in a phone. Just got a SIM from ID for £10 monthly contract giving me 5 GB with rollover and I can monitor useage on an App. I had Google maps enabled and and iPod connected via the WiFi and I used 400k in 1st month, rolling 4.6 GB. i suppose it will depend how much you use the car and any passengers connected to WiFi etc. i later found that you can monitor data used within the MMI itself.
