  1. Cost me £60 with a local firm, it's worth searching around for a good deal
  2. I wondered that but the noise sounds lower down, but worth me checking 👍🏻 The steering is electric, could well be something to do with that.. From Google people have had the cars looked over in garages and still not found these issues
  3. So... Since I've owned the car it's had a creaky noise working the steering, only really noticeable when manoeuvring and shows up turning the wheel either way. I hear it's a common issue (Google) but no-one seems to say what it is and how to fix it. Has anyone any experience of the fault and it's remedy?
  4. So I'm in a pickle.. My 2012 A4 needs brake pads and I know which ones I am going to buy, however, Trying to order from Euro Car Parts and theyre telling me I have to choose wether I have the Lucas or the Teves braking system. Sadly my calipers seem to have been replaced at some stages and all are TRW branded, so I've no ideas how to tell it all apart thought stripping the thing down. Anyone got any tips on how to tell the systems apart visually etc?
  5. I've been having a look through. I'm not doing a 3k upgrade it's simply not needed on a road car. I've no intention of buying track pads either, EBC pads are not the best anyway and like you say the warm up time is just silly for a car that spends 99% of its time on road. So I'll just stick with the Brembo road pads, simple good quality kit and I'm sure will cope with the odd play day just fine. We're looking to buy an Audi TT 8N 225bhp Quattro as a track car, so I'll save the more sporty bits for that. It'll be fun building it from scratch so I'll see how it goes once I have the car.
  6. Do you have a basic code reader? Always worth seeing if there's a fault code stored in there..
  7. So I've just come back from a fantastic weekend at the Nurburgring, my A4 was brilliant in both the wet and dry over the two days I was on track. The only things I'm looking to do now is upgrade my brake pads for something better able to cope with heat. The discs I will sort and pop some good quality drilled ones on, help the heat dispersal. Has anyone used upgraded pads on a B8? I was hoping for some Brembo pads, but so far I can't seem to find anything.
  8. Close, I think I found them. PY24W is a bulb on its own with the usual locking pins on the metal base. I found PW24W which I believe is the ones, basically the same with a different base.... What a faff 👍🏻
  9. Hi all. New to the forum and looking for some guidance. I have a 2012 A4 with the xenon lights. I'm after getting some indicator bulbs for it but I have no idea what on earth these are. I've taken a picture, they seem to have a fitment like the normal 501 cap less bulbs but with he plastic section on them I'm not convinced. I'd like to get LED replacements for them, can anyone advise me? I know I'll need error free cambus compliant bulbs, just no idea what fitment to buy yet... cheers, Dave
  10. I have a 2.0 TFSI Quattro model, I was getting 37mpg on a run at the speed limits. After a carbon clean that's gone up to 42mpg, I think that's about as good as it'll get for me, she's well serviced and with the Quattro system to heave about I'm happy with the results..
  11. Hi, new member saying hello and thought I'd add a pic of my car
