  1. Our battery is practically dead and buried on our 2006 Q7, is this usual? Wont seem to hold a charge very much. Im suprised for only 6 years old! Has anyone had a new battery fitted at somewhere other than Audi? Im lothed to pay main dealier prices. Halfords say they will fit ant battery no matter how long it takes for 6.99! but im aware there may be some sort of coding required to sync up the battery to the car? bit too technical for me to be honest! any ides anyone?
  2. it seems fine most of the day, its aleays first thing. the glow plug light goes out agter a few seconds, but what we are now doing is leaving it for about 10 seconds after putting the key in before starting, then it starts. The smoke is pure white, it only happens if we cant start the car, clear the rest of the time Thanks for replying!
  3. Hi Can anyone help, cant find a solution to this anywhere? We bought our Q7 about a month ago and the dashboard display showed the current speed electronically as well as on the speedo. I must have fiddled with the settings somehow but now I cannot get it back to displaying the current speed. I have tried the onboard computer MMI settings but doesnt change it Any ideas please? Also seem to be having issues starting the car in the morning. We turn the key on and wait for the glowplug sign to go out, then start it, but it just turns over and over draining the battery. If we stop and re try it does the same, then third try usually starts but then belts out a big cloud of white smoke!...dont think thats a good sign. Any ideas folks?
