  1. Anyone else sliced a finger ??.. was cleaning the boot out and using a rag.. ran my fingers over the sprung plate for the Tailgate catch inadvertantly running them along the inside edge of the actual fixed aluminium plate running over the boot sill which the sprung plate flips back into Before I knew it the razor sharp edge had cut thro' the rag and sliced right into my finger.. big cut needing stitches .. when my pinkie is better i'll be getting out a file and dressing up this square cutout to make sure I don't do it again.. last thing I expected to do on an Audi.. not impressed Cheers
  2. This was started by MrBoe back in September but I seem to potentially have a similar problem in that if I turn the key straight away to start my 3ltr TDI it cranks for several seconds before firing .. however if I deliberately wait until the glowplug light goes out it fires up almost straightaway Yesterday I left the ignition on for a few minutes before I got around to starting the engine and it cranked and cranked to a point where I thought i would flatten the battery before starting but it got there in the end .. no smoke of any colour and regularly main dealer serviced so it's looked after My worry is that at +8 degrees yesterday morning what problems am I going to have when its -10 degrees with a foot of snow ..?? Anyone any ideas Cheers Gilbert
  3. Sorry if i'm a bit late with this but only joined today.. If you want the Digital Speed back on the centre readout you have to use the Reset button on the Windscreen Wiper stalk ... (marked Reset) this button is used to cycle thro' the display and if you hold it for a few seconds it will reset everything back to Zero.. in functions 1 & 2 .. ie. it resets the average fuel consumption readout back to 0.00 etc: Hope this helps.. but like you have problems starting this 3ltr TDI in the mornings so will place on a seperate post in the hope someone has an idea.. Cheers
  4. Hi all.. Just purchased a Q7.. first Audi ever and quite impressed so far .. listened to the arguments regarding front tyre wear and brake pads however it is over 2 tons so we will see in the long term I find forums are the very best place for information and advice and have no doubt this will be as good Regards
