This stream auto-updates

  1. Past hour
  2. Gonna get it checked by a VW specialist first, the dealer will likely try to bodge/cover it up etc. I'm sure a pro will just drive it for 5 mins to see the issues. I'm kicking myself, British roads so bumpy I couldn't tell in the test drive so many potholes I want to be armed when I go back, main dealer I got it from,17k with warranty.
  3. Nevertheless if it is the original battery it is long overdue to be changed irrespective of any sensor fault.
  4. No, the car is faulty and is likely to be an expensive repair. Take it back to the dealer before the 30 day limit expires.
  5. Today
  6. I have to agree with Cliff I suspect it's the amplifier. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up
  7. Please keep us updated on how you get on
  8. I'm near Leicester. I used AC motors on wanlip road in Syston. They're very good. You also have vee dub in Queniborough but I've never used them. Chapmans independent audi specialist in Wigston but again not used them.
  9. audi had quoted 582 fitted........update and solution AA said its not the battery its a sensor on the back brake caliper, causing three yellow lights and two warnings when ignition on.."phew" thats a relief thanks all
  10. It's not right. Juddering, pulsating etc, fine from 5,th gear onwards Isn't there some way of resetting the gearbox?
  11. I take it back, it was more silver and copper dust, suprisingly - its not actually much more to get the engine reconditioned than to buy a 2nd hand engine. Probably worth doing since ill get warranty too. Looking at around £3-4000 and if the garage are feeling generious theyll just fix the sticking valve (if it is that) without doing the whole rebuild.. ill keep you updated
  12. I have the same on a Q3 sportback 2024. Audi have had it 3 times and have now told me that’s what it’s supposed to sound like. I said what Audi have purposely added a really annoying noise on an expensive car as standard. They did change the activated charcoal line in mine as that is a common issue as they split but it has made no difference. I have had other mechanics say it could be transmission, turbo, air intake timing belt/chain or electrical. I said to Audi what I don’t want is to come back when it’s out of warranty and then be told I have a big problem and it’s going to cost me a fortune. The thing is quite a few people have the same issue so there has to be a problem.
  13. Audi checked it and said it was just part of the ‘characteristics’ of the car and that it was normal. But when pressed they couldn’t tell me what it was. By the end that’s all I wanted to know, but no luck. I’ve figured out that it only does it when you put revs on after the engine cuts off when coasting. Some sensor / signal relay perhaps.
  14. If none of the inputs produce a sound I have to suspect the amplifier is faulty or the speakers are not connected. Of course I am assuming the unit actually has power coming into it. Does the radio show any lights or a display?
  15. Did anyone get a conclusion to the bleeping sound.
  16. Hi Gareth, sorry missed this earlier 🥱 I’ve had a couple of quotes and it’s only a little bit dearer than the citron C3 we have now, and I have told them that it’s a jap import. I’ll have a search and see if I can find out anything about oil issues. thanks
  17. Thank you for answering, I think it might be easier so if I just get the bluetooth adapter for the back of the original Concert unit instead as I am looking for minimal hassle.
  18. Hi - had the same problem and my local garages did not the soft ware to unlock the unit. However I found a local auto electrian who had the software and he successfully unlocked it.
  19. Hi cliff Literally as described there is no sound or the sound is muted on radio, media, Bluetooth Ths happened 36hrs ago after working fine for weeks I've been through all the menus and tried the different options but noluck. Could it be Btooth and should I reset it under reset default menu? One thing springs to mind is that after weeks of dry weather we've had 48hr of heavy rain. Could damp have a bearing on the fault? Have you experienced any problems like this before? Dan
  20. It's a shame i wish people did say whats good about the car, also when they have had good service from a garage etc. I'm in Leicester so if anyone could recommend a good garage apart from the Main dealer in Braunstone. I have read that chapmans in Wigston are good, but I have never used. Are service plans pointless after a certain age or would people still recommend?
  21. Many thanks Richard for your help. I have dismantled both front brake calipers and though the pads and discs are as new, all was really dry of grease. Using the ceramic I greased all as appropriate. Just done a road test the rattle has basically gone. Only a little rattle over pot holes which should avoided anywhere. New caliper springs and gease up -job done. Thanks again.
  22. Just been on a short run, second still not changing to 3rd untill 2000+ but not experienced the pulsating in 4th. I'm currently on the "auto" setting. Going out soon will try the efficiency modem
  23. Try the different gearbox modes and let us know how they compare.
  24. Thanks Tavi - this worked for me.
