  2. Very Simple and easy question to answer - Continental Sportcontact 7 . They are the best at the moment with the latest compound technology - better than the P4'S. Failing the Contiential the next best options are - Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S Bridgestone Potenza Sport Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport Don't cheap out of 💩 tires - it can literally cost your life or someone you care about. Thanks G

  4. Hi everyone am new to this forum page , I’ve recently bought a 2014 Audi s3 and within the first week I got intake manifold runner/position Sensor / switch circuit bank 1a plus now move selector to position p only when driving it flashes and then goes off
  5. Yes there certainly is. Might take out and put some clear sealant and refit.
  6. Wonder if anyone could help I’ve got a knocking on front drivers side been to four garages and can’t find owt wrong it’s ok for a few days when it’s been on ramp but then comes back again any ideas
  7. Hello Richard, Aren’t there vents in the lower rear side panels which can let water in? Seem to recall some earlier posts referencing these. Your model?? Well worth doing a forum search - far more reliable than my memory! Kind regards, Gareth.
  8. Hi the hose idea wont work as tap water has a much higher surface tension than rain water, so borrow a watering cans worth out of a neighbours water butt or use distilled water. Steve.
  9. Welcome Greg, and thanks for joining. Fuses blow to protect the circuit, so if it has blown, you will first need to know why. We take it your rear sensors aren’t working - totally - but do you get any bleep ( 10 second continuous) when you select reverse? Also, do the reversing lights work? Kind regards, Gareth.
  10. Hi this is a diagram of the throttle assembly the Air Intake Temp sensor is number 12
  11. Hi the AIT sensor is bolted in to the throttle body and is a different element completely the map sensor wont measure temperature, but you could try taking the AIT sensor out and cleaning it as they do get coated and wont read properly
  12. Hi the best place to look would be in your owners book or online. Steve.
  13. Hi guys 2020 s3 hatch. Noticed the fitted mat which covers boot floor was wet through. Both side areas also wet. No obvious areas i can see when hose pipe used on rear of the car. Fuel cap drain seems ok as i can poor water on and it drains under car. Hatch seal seems fine as well as car only done 29k. Any ideas appreciated before i strip both side panels off for better view. Thanks
  14. Hi All.. Where is the fuse location for the rear parking sensors on a Q3 S LINE 2013? Thanks
  15. The list is quite long. Please contact me via. a PM. From Mod:- I’ve removed your contact phone number and would strongly advise against showing any e-mail address on this open forum.
  16. Hi Audi Members, I am looking to replace the Audi alloys on my 2013 S7 with upgraded and slightly larger Audi alloys, new or second hand. I understand the fitment requirements are 5 X 112, between 19-22 inch, between 8.5J and 9.5J with an offset of between 26 & 37mm. If anyone has any pictures they could make available to me of A7/S7/RS7's with upgraded alloys that would be great. In terms of style and colour, I prefer multi-spoke and prefer silver or graphite rather than black, but realise that there isn't much choice in terms of the multi-spoke options from Audi. On the internet I have spotted an Audi multi-spoke alloy part number 8to-071-499-1zl (19x9J ET33 5X112 Bright Aluminium) and although they were available to buy, they were located in the USA and Canada! I don't intend carrying out any body modifications or involving any spacers, but any advice in terms which wheels to avoid and which to consider would be appreciated. I would also need to purchase tyres and would be considering 19", 20" or 21", a profile of 30 or 35 (40 profile currently on car) and a width 275 or 285. Many thanks Chris
  17. Thanks mate, that would be great. here’s the other thread The inner rear lights on mine are quite bad so need to do something. As you say need to make sure UV protected after. Cheers Greg
  18. What's most likely is whoever changed the discs before has destroyed the thread in the hub plate when removing the screw in the original disc 🙄
  19. We bought our 2012 Q5 Quattro S-Line Auto about 6weeks ago. We love it. It quickly showed up a fault though, when it started not reversing properly. Short story and not uncommon, it needed a new clutch. We finally got it back about a week ago and I've just realised that I can't toggle between "Drive" and "Sport" modes. I could before and but since the work I can't. Clearly it is not a "mechanical" issue as such because the minimal travel on the gear stick suggests it is just a switch which changes the gearbox and engine mapping. Other than this it is driving absolutely perfectly, I'm just missing a mode. Obviously it will be going back to the garage that did the work but does anyone have any idea what may have caused this so I'm a little more informed. Perhaps there's a really simple fix I can do at home? Thanks in advance

  21. The disc was probably rotated covering the tapped hole in the hub plate 🤔😆
  22. Changed out the MAP and DPF sensors and cleared pipe work tonight with spares I had so will see what happens if anything. Hopefully haven’t stuck the old MAP on that had the intake temperature sensor issue
  23. The only other thing I can think of is the low pressure EGR valve butterfly is clogged and may be slightly open, they are monitored but wont throw a code unless stuck completely, did you check the pipes were clear before fitting new sensors.
  24. Hi black smoke is due to over fuelling, the high MAF reading is due to the ECU trying to combat the extra fuel with more air, so you either have a leaking injector or the car has been remapped at some point. Steve.
  25. Hi if you tape over it the thing will work all the time as it works on opacity so the more its blocked the harder it works, this is quite a common problem on A4/A6 2012 up and is usually down to a cruddy control stalk on the steering wheel which is why there are so many second hand units for sale, you have to replace the whole unit which is a bit of a mission especially when you replace it as if you have not placed the squib ring in dead centre the steering goes bananas, try cleaning it with contact cleaner first. Steve.
