Darren s-line
Hi,I'm wondering if anyone can help me,I have a 2012 A5 s-line black edition, just lately it has developed a strange problem with the electronic parking brake,it seem to operate fine, sounds like both motors are operating as they should, the problem is when I switch ignition off and lock the car the led light on the handbrake switch is staying on and the P light on dash for parking brake stays on? Having googled I was told it was probably a faulty switch,so changed that and problem still the same?? Has anyone else come across this problem or have any solutions? Thanks .. Hi what should happen is you lock the car and the brake light on the switch stays on for about 30 secs to a min and then it should go out. Steve. Stevey Y
Hi try this simple reset first, with the car in neutral engine on disable the hill assist button then apply the foot brake and turn off the handbrake, leave for thirty seconds then manually pull the switch up twice and then down twice and again up twice turn the car off and see what happens.
