Dpf seems to be running out of life so I’m looking to get rid of it instead of replacing- but even having that done is costly.

Anybody have experience or tips on DIY’ing it? I’m not worried about MOT for the time being, if that makes the job any easier. might get rid of the car before it’s even due.

I took mine out opened it up and gutted it and welded it back up (it CAN be done without dropping the subframe) it was a bit tight ....i also blocked off the EGR and had to pay £250 to have a remap to turn off the DPF light (delete) it has gone trhu 2 mots since but was a bit smokey ....there is an american on utube who showed it being done but he did replace it with a straight pipe ,which you cant do in this country unfortunately.
