    I've read somewhere that if you use VAGCOM to change the instrument cluster region to Germany, it disables the door chime. It does change some of the read outs to metric but these can be changed back via the computer control stalk.

    No space saver is normal if you have the foam and compressor. Not sure on the tool kit but Audi do often put them in awkward places. Have a hunt around further under the floor than you may think like the next layer down and look behind plastic compartment doors etc.

    I've just purchased a Carista OBD dongle for my iPhone to see if I can get at some of these settings. I believe that disable door chime is one of them.

    I usually hit one of the < > steering wheel buttons which cancels it on a per event basis. HTH
