  1. Sorry to read your issues. I have had a Q6 Launch Edition since day one and have had no end of faults, faults that Audi to this day still have not resolved, some minor some dangerous, slamming on the brakes doing an emergency stop for no reason, called a ghosting effort on the sensors or headlights that do not turn on to traffic speed signs not being recognised so you can not use ACC, the dealer has been great but close to one year of ownership not a single fault raised has been resolved and there is a lot more then I have mentioned. We have had the same issue as you but got around this by locking the car, walking away for 15 minutes, going back and trying again and all worked like nothing had happened, fault has not happened again, dealer looked and no faults show on the car. My advise to anyone looking at a Q6 or the new A4 is don't, they car has issues and until Audi resolve them look else where. If you do own one, take video footage of the issues as the car will report no faults to prove the fault, Audi claim if the car says no fault then the fault did not happen. Will not be an Audi owner once this car goes, they charge more then any of the others in the group but the cars are the most unreliable. Family member has the 2025 Skoda Enyaq VRS and has not had a single issue. Keep us updated with what your dealer claims.
  2. I had an email from the dealer on Friday saying that the tech had been “investigating the faults in your car this week. We can see that there are faults in there, however the car has not faulted and passed every test that we have performed on it.” I did inform them that I had seen on another forum somebody experiencing the exact same problem, and after 2 months with their dealership the latest diagnosis was the “steering wheel module”. I think they are waiting for the module to be replaced and the return of the car. I don’t know whether my dealership has actually investigated that component in particular off my suggestion, but I will check when I collect the car on Wednesday… my guess/feeling is they haven’t. I think they’ve just driven it around for a few days and it’s been fine. I get it’s difficult when you can’t replicate the problem, so will just have to see if it happens again and then not be very happy if it does. With so many sensors, modules, and what have you’s I’m amazed they can’t immediately tell you what has caused the issue. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Will update this post as/when/if things change.
  3. Hi monitor the EGT sensors on live data if the readings dont rise quickly when revved the sensor is probably on its way out which would cause it to run lean at certain rpms. Steve.
  4. Hi Spartacus, with only having the car 5 days and the "door open " symbol on it, this was my logical assumption of which has been on (illuminated) all the time but no door lights. With not being out in the car in the dark, I wouldn't have known that they're (hopefully.... and not an intermittent fault) light sensitive.
  5. Hi, Gareth. Many thanks for your reply. Eventually the AA got the car mobile by essentially hard resetting the car (disconnecting and reconnecting the 12v battery). I had considered this when confronted with the problem first thing, but with it being our first EV I wasn’t sure if it was safe to do so with a high voltage battery on board. 🙂 I can’t fault our Audi dealer. They have given us the use of an A6 e-tron launch edition for our 10 day trip. They will look at what happened and report back. I don’t believe this is something they would normally do, and certainly not as we need to take it to Europe. We’ve had to add it to our policy but they will reimburse us. They have been amazing. It’s not the best start to EV ownership, but I understand these things happen and it’s more important to me how it gets dealt with by Audi/the dealer. On a side note, the launch edition A6 e-tron is awesome. My wife isn’t a fan of estate cars so I couldn’t even persuade her to even try one, but I’m not sure if after this she might be tempted next time around… here’s hoping. 🙂 Once I hear back from them with what they believe the problem to be I will post an update. Certainly for the moment if anybody has a similar issue I would suggest disconnecting the 12v for a minute or two just to reset things and get you mobile again. Oooh, sorry. Brand new vehicle.
