Hi all, My car can not be started because a warning "Parking Brake Malfunction" on the dashboard. The warning is not always there. Once it disappears (no intervention), the car works and could be started as normal. The garage said the problem is the ABS module, either to be repaired or replaced. Please see the VCDS report enclosed. To be replaced, cost £1,800. Repair, £800. My car only cost me £5,000. Can anyone give me some advice? Can I buy a ABS module on Ebay and find a garage to replace it? Does the car need to be reprogrammed after the replacement? Thanks a lot. Scanned+Documents.pdf

Hi Steve, I almost forget this post. What makes me more frustrated is that a severe fault appeared, regarding that my car couldn`t start as the "Parking Brake Malfunction" on the dashboard. I searched online for some others` experience. I sent a few emails to the dealer to warn them that my rights as a consumer should be respected. But the dealer seemed really confident not repairing my car, even I bring this case to court. So now I am struggling if I should bring the case to court. If I do and lose the case, I would lose more money.

Hi all, I just got my second handed A4 Avant 2008 2.0T Manual for 2 weeks from a local car dealer. Out of sudden, the car told me that I need to fill the oil. Now I am asking, is it possible to ask the car dealer to fill the oil for me, concerning the very short period I bought the car from them. If not, can you recommend any types of oil? And is it safe for the engine to be working with the mixed new oil with those oil which were already there? Cheers for any information.
