Hi all,

My car can not be started because a warning "Parking Brake Malfunction" on the dashboard.

The warning is not always there. Once it disappears (no intervention), the car works and could be started as normal.

The garage said the problem is the ABS module, either to be repaired or replaced. Please see the VCDS report enclosed.

To be replaced, cost £1,800. Repair, £800. My car only cost me £5,000.

Can anyone give me some advice?

Can I buy a ABS module on Ebay and find a garage to replace it?

Does the car need to be reprogrammed after the replacement?
