  1. I think the Comfort and Sound pack is worth getting for the convenience options. Not sure on the leather option as I think on the Tecnik it's only the partial 'Twin' leather option (double check this in case I am wrong) - the majority of the seat is plastic covered and I don't see that as value for money for nearly £1000 - better off sticking to fabric IMOPO and looking at another option.
  2. Late reply, but I have one and it's not the faff that you might expect. I do an hour commute most days and in 8000 miles I have put about 7 litres in costing less than £10.
  3. It's interesting - Audi's UK range seems to have halved since September. All the 'S' and 'RS' models appear to have been discontinued and only a limited choice of engines are available - 1 2.0 diesel and 1 petrol choice only on models like the A4 and Q5 and the quattro system unavailable on petrol models. The 3.0 V6 diesel's have gone from the A4 and Q5 ranges altogether. It feels like an interim range at the moment and cant be doing sales any good. Other manufacturers like BMW and Mercedes don't seem to have this restriction with, for instance, their C43 and C63 models. Is this to do with new emissions laws and VAG group being caught on the hop?
  4. I ordered an Allroad early March and got it at the end of May - about 10 weeks. The Allroad isn't a popular model in the UK so it was quicker than other models, but I had quite a few options - I was originally told 10-12 weeks wait. Some hybrid/elec models have VERY long build times because the battery manufacturers are experiencing unprecedented demand from multiple car manufacturers. My brother ordered a Golf GTE back in Oct 2017 and is still waiting! VW have suspended orders for this car as a result.
  5. I basically didn't get the parking assistance pack, head up display or damping control, but got everything else. The tech pack was the best option - it is just so well executed. I also took the controversial choice of having brown leather and walnut trim as so many seem to be black with aluminium which I felt to be too clinical and I wanted to have a warmer interior . The result is perfect for me although it may be marmite to some!
  6. Hi there Ordered this back in March and took delivery last week. It replaced a 2010 model Range Rover Sport. Have been put off RR's by questionable reliability and the fact I have kind of gone off SUV's since having one. The Allroad seemed a good compromise since I wasn't keen on a Q5 and it doesn't appear to be a popular model in the UK so you don't see that many on the road. Wasn't 100% sure when I took delivery - it perhaps appeared a bit ordinary. However after driving for a week I am very pleased with it. It generally does everything a lot more efficiently than the RR, particularly fuel economy on the 190PS 2.0TDi. I am regularly seeing 45mpg with mixed driving. The in car technology is brilliant although took a bit of fiddling around to get it all to work with my phone etc. I also find I don't get the looks of hatred that driving the RR seemed to attract. Only downside is that it is expensive, and because I ticked most of the options the price far exceeded the new £40k road tax threshold so I pay £450 a year instead of £140.
