  1. Thanks Jason, the whole story is that I had a new p/s hose fitted recently and the system isn't working properly, low revs and it's stiff more revs and it eases up. It's going back for a investigation as to whether the pump has gone. When I checked the fluid I thought it had a redish colour which was obviously put in when they did the hose.
  2. Thanks, I know it's obvious to use what is stamped on filler cap but I keep reading the synthetic I mentioned is what I need, someone on one of the forums went as far as to say just ignore the stamp, hence the confusion. The car is a 2L diesel btw.
  3. 2007 A4 B7 Avant Getting a bit confused on what p/s fluid is correct. I bought the green synthetic MVCHF recommended for CH11S and CHF202 after reading on an Audi forum it was correct but the filler cap and reservoir on car are stamped mineral only? Any help appreciated.
  4. Thanks, I'll do research to see if I can work out that is, not a lot of info on the EGR sensor location!
  5. 2.0 TDI now running perfect with new EGR valve but now showing P0405 code, been told I bought a too cheap valve (£145 fuel parts) which has different pin configuration? Anyone had similar problems with the more affordable range of valves? I could have got one half the price of mine if it wasn't going to work!
  6. Hi all, I have an intermittent flashing prnds light which until recently wasn't causing problems but now I had one occasion when car wouldn't go into reverse. I'd like to get the tcu repaired/replaced and was hoping on the off chance someone could recommend a reliable mechanic/garage Essex, East London area. 2007 A4 B7 Avant 2tdi I
  7. Hi all New member and new owner of a 2007 A4 diesel Avant which I've just had my first bit of trouble with. Previous owner or mechanic left out back screws on ecu box and water got in causing the fan to come on, the alarm to sound and run down the battery. A quick Internet search led me to find the submerged relays so I dried everything out and the car started on the button, ran for a few minutes then died and wouldn't start again. Tested the 614 relay and seemed fine but the two 395's are not working so I'll get a couple tomorrow. Any advice on anything else to look out for/check/ replace would be most welcome. Thanks in advance.
