Bosch S4010 battery that's in there needs changing but typing reg into several battery suppliers for equivalents all come up with 906 type which are a totally different size lengthwise and height.
Any ideas other than buying another similar Bosch?

You shouldn’t go far wrong by placing yourself in the hands of Tayna, or Parts in Motion - inputting your reg. no. on their (EBay ) sites, following the recommendation but always checking dimensions before committing. I have used their Exide brand to good effect of late.

p.s. You mention 906 - do you mean 096? 

Like Magnet I would go with the suppliers recommendations rather than be guided by what you have in the car at the moment, which will undoubtedly have been renewed a few times in an 18 year old car.

It was a 110 size, so the one in there was correct and not the 096 which several dealers advised.

Even Tayna online recommended a 115 which is the same size as what was in there but for stop start vehicles.

The guy at Tayna on the phone put me straight and advised another Bosch S4010 which is now installed.

This isn't the first time typing in reg has got me the wrong part so I guess it may be a between model, transitional type of thing?
