Well, i think that best quality would also last the longest. I had some bad experiences before. I know that OEM is the best but the price difference is 3 to 4 times. I was thinking HEPU for water pump and Mahle for thermostat. Don't know how good they are.

Hi, i want to change belt and other stuff on my A6 2.7. Because i need to strip down complete front end i wanted to put the best aftermarket parts i can find. Because of that i wanted to ask You witch manufacture would you chose for THERMOSTAT and WATER PUMP? And thank you all for helping me and maybe someone else who has the same question.

It drops. Scheduled for new thermostat (even my is around 6 months old) because on friends car the same manufacture of the thermostat failed after 2 months. Now i put Mahle and we will see.

So, no one has some other ide where to look for the problem? I still haven't found it.

With VCDS i can see two sensors for coolant temperature. One says just COOLANT TEMPERATURE and the other says the same and in addition AT ENGINE BLOCK, something like that. Those two are not the same, there is a 1 to 2 degrees difference. And both are going up and down. So i don't believe that its the sensor in the fault. I have additional pump somewhere, can that be a problem? Maybe it can be problem with it?

Also i forgot to mention that when i power on the AC the fans start spinning but the coolant temperature goes down at same speed as when the AC is off and just the heating is on. The only thing that does impact the speed of cooling the coolant is the blower inside the cabin. If its blowing fast the temps goes down faster, if its blowing slow the temps also goes down but not as fast.

I scanned the complete system with VCDS and no errors. I was watching the fans and they only spin when the AC is on or the coolant temperature goes above i believe 94. I also tested with vcds how fast is the temperature going down. So, when the heating is off, ac off, its all normal with the coolant temperature. When i power on heating without AC it goes down prity fast. Same test with the AC on and it goes down at same speed.... But... If i put the blower on max the coolant temperature is going down even faster. At the end. Fans are ok. Thermostats are ok. The small ventil in a hose is ok. No error codes. The problem is there only when heater or AC are on and if the blower is on max the coolant temperature goes faster down than when the blower is on minimum. Hi, i have a audi A4 2012 with 2.0 100kw CJCA engine. The problem that i have is with the coolant temperature. When i drive the car its all ok until i power on AC/Heater in these cold days. It doesnt mater if the AC is on or just a regular heater the temperature drop quickly. When i turn it off the temps go up. I have changed the main thermostat, the seccond one also and the small somekind of ventil that has just a tube and a ball in it. Can anyone help me with the problem? Thank you.

i have checked for error codes but there is none. i am not even shure if this is how it should be, but i had different car before and never had something like this happening.

Hi, i have a problem, or i think i have a problem on my Audi A6 2010 with 2.7 140kw engine (CANA). The think is that if my climate control unit is off i can get the water temperature really fast to 90, but if the AC is on (or if it is on ECO mod, so no compressor AC but still heating) i need a lot more time to get to operating temperature. I know that the main thermostat is ok because when it gets to 90 it doesn't go back when the climate unit is off. I have no problem in summer, only on cold days. So, the problem starts when i turn on the heating, with or without AC on (you can use heater without AC or with AC). When the temps go to 90 i start the climate unit and in seconds i can see how the water temperature is going down. It goes to 80 and then goes back to 90. But, if outside is cold like -10 than on idle, after i was driving for some time and stop, with the car hot and climate working the whole time, the water temps go down to 70 and cant go back to 90 until i start driving again. I know that on 2.0 motors there is second thermostat and he is making these problems, but on these engines i don't have the second thermostat. Does anyone know if this is normal or where to search for error? Thank You.

Ok, after some much time i finely checked the part number and they are all stock. So, only thing to believe is that it come out from the fabric like that and hope that the whole frame can be adjusted later when i have time. Thank You for your help and time.

Thank You Gareth. I think number 2 is not the case here, only if the whole car is perfectly painted after the crash, but still i have not found any record that it was involved in a crash. Number 3 is the one i need to check again even i cant hear anything wrong. Number 2 and 4 could be the case here, but i will try to find the part number on the frame and see if it match to the one that should be installed on the car. If the numbers match then i believe that it is left only to think that it is like that by design. One thing that also came to my mind is that maybe the whole frame could be shifted back, if that is possible at some point. Looking at the pictures of the frame i dont think that it can be shifted back and forward but maybe someone here knows more. Thank You for the compliment, i made a mistake in the tittle but i try my best. I will come back when i see if there is some wear on those bushings.

Hello Gareth. To answer you question, yes, the car was like it is now since i bought it. The difference is only that now it started to bother me because i wanted to lower it for the better look because i have adaptive air suspension and with vcds i can do that. I work alone on the car but i had no major problems with it. Only regular oil and filter change and that is it. Next are rear disks and pads together with new brake fluid. I will try to see what you mean with "main forward rear links" because english is my second language and i dont know what is the part that you are pointing. After that i will try to find the dimension of original part and the part fitted, maybe the fitted part has a part number and i can see if they match with the part that should be there. It will take few days but i will post as soon as i have new informations. Thank You.

Hi Gareth. Thank You for trying to help me. I bought this car in Germany 2019 and the car had 160 000 km on the clock. The car had no accident record and i have done the paint measurement at VW in Croatia. The paint was in all places the same and they have told me that the car was never repainted. The problem i see now i have noticed at the start but i wasnt sure if it is normal or it is a some kind of problem. The tyres are worn evenly on both sides, and i have never done any alignment on the back, or changed anything on the back. So for me this is how it came. I dont hear any knocking noise and the ride is smooth.

So it is not just me, there is a problem. Just dont know what, because it is the same on the other side. If someone know, help. Thank You.

Hi, i have a Audi A6 S-line 2010 2.7 with stock air suspension. I have noted that my rear wheels are not at center, it is like they are more at the back. My mechanic says that it is normal and he cant find any problem. Now i need your help because i do not think that this is normal. On the picture you can see the problem, that the wheel is like pulled back, and that is the same problem on the other side. is it possible for water to enter if the tape is not holding it? Right now it was some king of silicone or similar glue behind and it was not easy to remove it. I dont want to put something that want hold it.

Hi, i had to do some aluminum work and needed to remove the sound insulation (some kind of foam) that is behind door panel on my Audi A6 2010 (C6). Now i dont know what to use to glue it back. Has anyone done this before to point me at what glue to use? Thank You.

Hi. I wanted some help with my decision about brake disc and pads. I have Audi A6 2010 2.7 140Kw. My rear brake pads are finished and wanted to put new one. Now when i inspected the disc i saw that the thickness is 20mm. According to the manual 20mm is the minimum thickness. My question is, because i need new pads and the disc is already at its minimum thickness, should i buy new discs or is it safe to resurface these?
