  1. If you look under the bumper on the drivers side near the fog light grille tucked up under the car behind the radiator you will find the diverter valve you cant see it from above looking in the engine bay its hidden away unlike transverse mounted engines where the diverter valve is easy to access and see
  2. Recently fitted a boost gauge to my a4 1.8t BEX engine code and ive noticed the peak boost is around 15-16 psi and it settles down to around 10 psi, is this because it is a BEX 190 do they run higher boost that the usual 7-8 psi i hear most standard 1.8t's run at Either the BEX 190 is higher boost standard or the boost has been turned up i have seen when tuning people set the max boost at 1 bar just below 15 psi so im thinking the car must be remapped Anyone got any ideas whats going on thanks

  4. UPDATE: Fixed sputtering in high gears high load, car ended up misfiring with a flashing EML and then the EML stayed lit and car went into limp mode not boosting properly, replaced MAF and coilpacks then disconnected battery negative for 5 mins and done a TBA no more sputtering :)
  5. UPDATE: Had a good look around the engine bay and realised that a hose from the intake manifold to the N75 valve i belive its called already has a tee piece in that doesnt look very air tight, when moving the pipe it moves about a bit on the tee and the 3rd fitting is blocked off with a bolt, im going to replace it with some red vac pipe and secure the connections and fit a decent tee piece nd get a boost gauge fitted
  6. Hello Audi owners, iv recently become a happy owner of a a4 b6 s line with 1.8t engine and im wondering where people usually get their boost feed from ? do you tee into the FPR line as usual ? engine layout is a little different with it being longitudinally mounted so if someone could point me in the right direction that would be great. Also another thing when im in 3rd 4th 5th 6th and i floor it the engine revs in between 3-5k rpm and makes a popping sound from the exhaust like it is cutting fuel...i have read it could be the MAF, i have a spare one i can try that was taken from a working car is there any other possible causes that can cause sputtering popping like this ....doesn't happen in 1st or 2nd. Thanks any help is appreciated :)
