  1. Hi Alex, Do you think this would be a PDI update as it needs requesting and is not a normal recall update? I have asked Eastbourne Audi to have this updated on my A6 Allroad before delivery, which is due in the next week or so. Initially he spoke to Russell who suggested this would be picked up on the PDI but I asked them to write the update (information provided by Jenna, thanks) on the sheet, which they have just to be sure. Hopefully it will get updated now before I receive the car.
  2. Hi Jenna, Did you get the software update done? If yes, are you seeing better results than before the update was made?
  3. Thanks AlexR, That is good to know as I am getting my A6 Allroad from them, when it is eventually delivered. Now I know they do the update I can ask for this to be completed before delivery to me.
  4. Hi AlexR, Which Audi dealer was this please Eastbourne/Brighton?
  5. Thanks for the update on your software update So there is an update that will allegedly solve this problem but this takes more than a few minutes to do, hence the courtesy car requirement. I presume this is the only update being carried out or is there more than the throttle lag and so more time needed to complete?
  6. Hi Gareth, It's not a concern as such, more of being told by the dealer it is still at port of exit (so I am not looking at Audi's system but being told by the dealer) and they really don't know when it will be in the UK, best guess mid to late June. Which is fine but then I am issued with a VIN and Reg and have you have already said it is highly unlikely a reg as been issued if the car is still out of the country. So, as I see it the car is in the country so can be issued a reg number, why the dealer is saying different I don't know or it is indeed still at port of exit and I am the first person, well that I know of, that has been issued a car registration before the car hits the UK? Yes, the reg first two letters does tie in for the county the dealer is based. Finally, I have returned my previous lease as it was completed so delivery ASAP would be preferential but if it was mid June so be it. Now I am thinking is it really in the UK and can be delivered sooner than I thought, but I still cannot see why the dealer would say it is at port of exit if they had the vehicle already. It doesn't make sense to me, hence my questions. Thanks Jim
  7. Thank you Gareth, Yes, it's the UK and the dealers is saying delivery to the UK Mid to late June so I was very surprised that I have a VIN and reg number on my finance documents when it is not even in the UK. I did ask for an order number so I could track the delivery myself but received this back: Due to the current Lockdown/Covid situation you are unable to track your vehicles. Even as a dealer we are just estimating arrival dates and status as the system information is incorrect. Shipping and transporting has all been effected. As soon as we know we will update you with the correct information I will update my location accordingly.
  8. Hi, I have recently ordered an A6 Allroad (lease direct from Audi dealer) and as above I have been given a VIN and registration number. But I am being told the car is still at port of exit, so my question is can you be given a VIN and Reg number if the car is not yet in the country?
  9. Thanks for that Alex, this is good to know and hopefully makes my 'punt' on the A6 allroad worthwhile.
  10. Not sure but it did say there was also an MMI update too so maybe?
  11. This sounds good, I ordered a A6 Allroad on the back of Audi preparing a fix for this problem so hopefully this has been solved now, or the very least made it negligible.
  12. Thanks for the reply Steve. You are correct regarding trying and seeing but it is difficult to try as no showrooms are open and the dealer is saying it could be delivered by mid June and I am assuming no showrooms will be open before then and I would have had to commit before then. The lease is through a franchised dealer and over 24 months and brand new so no problems regarding warranty but saying that I could do without having to take it back for niggles/problems every month or so.
  13. Hi, As per my question above really. I have a chance of getting a really good lease deal on an 45TDi A6 Allroad and I have started to look at reviews and forums regarding the A6 Allroad and Avants and I am astounded at all the problems being reported about the car? Throttle réponse when cruising along, picking up when slowing down at roundabouts and trying to pull away quickly, little rattles behind the dash, problems with lane departure (can this be turned off permanently or does it only activate above a certain speed so as not to cause problems around town) to name a few. This has put serious doubt in my mind, even though the deal is good. Or is it the case of a few unlucky people and the majority of people with little or no problems on their A6 actually log into forums to tell people how problem free their cars are.
