  1. hope it's sorted this time.
  2. Had this happen on my previous A4 Allroad about 2 years ago, only it was the o/s/r. I know at least another 2 people who have had to change the o/s/r mount due to it breaking up. so it pays to keep an eye on them.
  3. Hi, I used to own a a4 allroad b9, fitted with 245/45r18 inch tyres. the space saver tyre size you require is T125/70 R I9 et29. Hope this helps p.s. worth contacting The Wheel Shop. Brian.
  4. regarding the engine cover, it appears, that Audi used to fit them to models with a petrol engine, but had some problems with the covers melting, due to the heat generated by the turbo, so they stopped fitting them, (my engine has only 3 out of 4 fixing points for the cover,) I have seen them on E Bay etc, but won't bother, as I don't want any problems. Brian.
  5. HI, MY NEW AUDI Q3 1.5 TFSI (OCT 2024) DOES NOT HAVE A ENGINE COVER FITTED, ON CONTACTING AUDI PARTS DEPT, THEY TELL ME THAT AUDI DO NOT SUPPLY THEM, YET I HAVE SEEN THEM FOR SALE ON E BAY ETC, HAS ANYONE ELSE BOUGHT ONE ELSEWHERE?? THANKS IN ADVANCE BRIAN.
  6. Hi, I would be taking it back to the dealer asap.
  7. thought that might be the problem. glad you got it sorted. (you must have sent that post whilst I was typing my reply) Brian.
  8. hi, just wondered, was the bonnet open or closed when you tried to reset the wipers via the mmi?? I would open the bonnet, if it was shut, then close it smartly, and try to reset the wipers again. ( just a thought) Brian.
  9. yes, lane departure. is a nuisance, I just press the button on the end of the indicator stalk every time before I move off, I haven't tried going into settings yet, but will give it a try. another issue, on mine is the radio crackling when you start up sometimes, a girl at Carlisle Audi has done a temp fix meantime, till a software upgrade come out at the end of this quarter. (supposedly) Brian.
  10. very nice Brian
  11. Hi Jim, If the car was mine, I would jack the front wheels clear of the ground, one at a time, and then, get someone to sit in the car and press the brake off and on, whilst you turned the wheels, this would let you see if a caliper was sticking, and also would let you have a better look at the brake pad thickness. p.s. you haven't mentioned if the low pad warning light is on or not. Brian.
  12. Hi, Your Q5 will be fitted with a low brake pad warning system, that lights up in the dashboard when the pads are low/req changing, if this light is not on, it could be a partly seized caliper perhaps. causing the rubbing noise. not letting the pads release properly. Brian.
  13. Hi, To add to the above post, you should make sure that the E.T. No on the back of the wheels that you are fitting, matches the one's you are taking off. p.s. E.T. elates to the offset. Brian.
  14. Yes, done under warranty, the only thing I can think of, is that it was a fault with the o/s/f outer brake pad from new, possibly, or the pad had picked something up, but the disc was scored right across the entire surface. on reflection, I noticed a mark on the disc when I picked the car up from new, but thought nothing of it at the time. (10 miles on clock) anyway, it is sorted now. regards Brian.
  15. I bought a brand new q3 35tfsi on 1st October, o/s/f brake disc getting badly scored. after only 200 miles. Carlisle Audi replaced both front disc on Friday, excellent service. really like the car so far. Brian.
