  1. I found this very interesting- my offside rear door has got exactly the same problem. The main dealer who sold me the car agreed to fix it under warranty- but would not give me a courtesy car because i'm 76. I raised a complaint- heard exactly nothing- natch. I'll try the double click routine, if it doesn't work, my excellent local guy- Auditechnik near me in Kent will have to sort it at the next service.
  2. Thanks Steve and Richard, yes it was the aux connection I was thinking of using- MMI, FLAC etc are wasted on me although I could de-coke an engine if necessary. I used to like gadgets, now haven't got the patience. At least the DAB radio rarely cuts out, unlike my previous Audi, where it was unusable. I've got personal players for CDs (and tapes! shock horror) so I'll find some of my old cables and give them a try.
  3. Hi Steve. It wasn't an option to have a CD player when I ordered the car, and although a local firm said they could 'probably' fit one I'm not too confident, and I'd hate to screw up the electrics, so i thought a plug in would be better- and cheaper. Not too sure about how to upload a link from eBay but I'll have another look at what's available. Cheers, Mike.
  4. Hello all. I'm looking for an aftermarket CD player for my 2020 A4 35 tfsi . I'd prefer a portable plug in rather than trying to incorporate a unit into the dash. There are various makes advertised on eBay- does anybody have any experience of them, or have a recommendation? Cheers, Mike
  5. Thanks Gareth. There is a specialist car trimmer near me- problem is the cost of a re-cover- and the fact I'd be without the car for a while. Maybe I could get a s/h seat with the wrong colour and get a beige cloth cover. I just wish Audi would sell me the spec. I wanted in the first place. Seems to me they've lost their way recently.
  6. Hello, I was mislead when I bought my A4. I wanted sports seats with alcantara like my previous model. I've ended up with standard seats with 'twin leather' . The driver's seat is uncomfortable . I'd like to swap it for a beige alcantara/leather sports seat . Can't find a beige sports alcantara seat on the new car website otherwise could order it from Audi- at considerable cost no doubt. Anybody suggest where I could source a seat in the right colour alcantara/leather combination? Cheers, Mike.
