Hello Mike 71 As far as l know my 1.5 Engine is the same as a 1.4 albeit with slightly more power. That said, my previous car Skoda Octavia had the 1.4 and l could hardly ,if at all,tell the difference. Both have proven both reliable and relatively economic.

My connect licence ran out from two years back. Not all at once but apart from traffic updates,it’s just unnecessary toys. Didn’t bother and certainly don’t miss it. Audi don’t really need to charge.Do they?

Hi James. I can only speak from my experience but. Owned my 1.5 A4 Avant S Line for six faultless years(albeit low mileage) Miles per Gallon,General mid forties. Long run mid fifties. Acceleration , fast enough for most. Top Speed,more than enough for anybody. Fuel is usually cheaper for petrol which may level out any difference.

In my opinion , If the correct amount of oil is added at service change,the gauge will not show full so this is normal and nothing to be concerned about. My last two oil changes from different garages,one a main dealer was the same.

Hi Jason. I think what you describe is normal. Closing power gate is only done via the button on the tailgate. My own 2017 A4 has always operated that way.

Here is a little teaser for you electronics folk. Unlocking the doors on my A4 has recently failed to unlock the rear offside door. Actuator you may suggest. Well here’s the thing. If l disable the internal movement sensor. ie double click the key when locking the car.All works as normal, all doors unlock. Both keys behave the same and batteries good . Because of this a repair is not urgent but any thoughts would be welcome

My Hormann garage doors have an activator button available which fits into the dash 12v Socket. So works with either forward or reverse entry. Not much use if you don’t have Hormann doors I know, but worth a mention
