Have taken delivery of a MY23.5 Q7 which has an absolutely infuriating new feature in that this is enabled every time the ignition is turned on and you need to then access a couple of menus to turn it off for just one journey. On top of this there’s a permanent warning displayed to tell you it’s turned off. Has anyone else encountered this? Found a solution? I’ve not yet found anyone able/willing to code it out.

That’s odd, I had the SQ8 before, not a Vorsprung, and it did it.

Yeah but they took them off the configurator for about 6-7 months. As you say, would always check with the dealer what you’re ordering and you’ll get a spec when you do, but all signs point to them being available again.

Not checked with a dealer but I saw that the other day on the configurator. Still no phone box but Matrix back on all and lasers on Vorsprung.

I wasn’t told until July/August and my dealer said it was because they only dealt with orders as they got closer to delivery. Absolute !Removed! show of a decision and the service and attitude (from Audi) was shocking, take it or leave it was basically it. That’s me done with the brand.

Did you get any money back for them? Q3/5/7s all got different amounts, £600 for a Q7 if I recall.

Answer is likely to be no, it’s not just a case of fitting the lights they need all sorts of cameras and sensors to work. I gave up and sold the car.

I’ve given up to be honest, spoilt 100k car. Still fitting matrix to a 3.0 diesel Q8 for 30k less. Absolutely bizarre strategy.

Hi, Recently bought a 2022 SQ7 Vorsprung which, due to the chip shortages, has had the headlights changed from Matrix Laserlights to standard LEDs. Anyone know if it’s possible to retrofit these? Can live without the laserlight side and just go for the Matrix LEDs. Hundreds of Q7s and SQ7s have them, though I think only Vorsprungs got the laser ones. Any advice appreciated. Thanks

Did you ever get any further with? I’m keen to get some too. I’m no engineer but destabilising the structural integrity of a sunroof seems a lot of nonsense, what if it’s a black edition without a sunroof!?
