  1. It was the internal filter not supplied, got one on Amazon for a fiver. Even came in an Audi package as OEM part.
  2. Thanks everyone especially Joe6 I will follow his suggestion.
  3. thanks everyone for the information.
  4. Thanks Joe, do you perhaps know if an engine top cover is available for my 2026 A3?
  5. Engineer from Audi road service called but was completely baffled by the problem. He scanned the vehicle and found a number of "U" codes which he said means parts of the electronics were not communicating with each other. He was astonished the Audi dealer was too busy to look at the car especially as it is only 5 weeks old. He said he would contact Audi customer services directly as see what could be done to resolve the issue and to get the dealer to do the job they are supposed to do. I'll keep you posted on any developments.
  6. Not fixed yet the Audi dealer is too busy to look at it however they did advise NOT to turn the stop start off, so far so good it hasn't shut down again but despite being on the stop start doesn't work as it should, the engine ticks over without stopping. I appreciate the advise to contact Audi road service so I'll give them a call. Thanks everyone for the helpful comments.
  7. I have a 2026 model A3 S Line which appears to have some missing parts. The plastic cover for the top of the engine, the filter in the washer bottle neck, the blue washer bottle cap. I am told Audi don't supply these items which seems strange to me in a quality car. My previous A3 S line had all these bits supplied from new can anybody shed any light on this. The dealer advises "that's how they come now"
  8. Hi folks, looking for a bit of knowledge to help me understand a start/stop niggle with my 2026 model A3 S Line 35 petrol. The engine has suddenly taken to cutting out without warning. Doing so at 70 mph on the motorway was terrifying lucky I managed to dip the clutch before everything locked up. It has done this at various speeds since that first experience. I've been back to the main dealer who advised do NOT turn the stop/start system off and having done so touch wood no more cutting out incidents. I usually did turn the system off as I hate the start/stop operation but now it doesn't work at all. The main dealer can't look at my car for about three weeks and won't supply a courtesy vehicle while they hold onto mine. The car is six weeks old, brand new and has 548 miles on the clock. Any ideas or advice would be welcome.
  9. Hello friends, I have a problem with the Pre Sense system on my A3 35 TFSI S line and I would be grateful for any help or advice. I get the yellow warning light on the dash accompanied by the message "System not operational due to outside conditions, insufficient light" I've cleaned the windscreen around the front camera (washed the car but it is never really dirty) cleaned the radar panel below to number plate but the fault still persists. Am I missing a sensor or have I inadvertently messed something up? I have a code reader but no fault codes are shown. Many thanks.
  10. Thank you much appreciated
  11. I have a 2022 A3 S Line fitted with 18" alloy wheels. Can anyone advise me what size of spacesaver wheel I would need, i.e I must use an 18" wheel or if a smaller say 16" or 17" would be OK.
  12. Brilliant, thanks for the advice, I will certainly avoid Halfords, I wasn't too impressed by their staff knowledge and I certainly don't want anybody unqualified messing around with the vehicle wiring.
  13. Hi, I am looking for advice on having a dash cam fitted to my brand new A3 S Line sportback. What make would you recommend as the best and advice on having it hardwired as I don't want cables trailing everywhere. I know Halfords offer a fitting service if you buy a dash cam from them but would this affect my warranty? Do I therefore need to go to an Audi dealer, there is only one here in Northern Ireland or can I use any qualified garage? I do not want to attempt to hardwire the unit myself just in case I do something to damage the vehicle. Sorry for the long question but any advice or guidance would be much appreciated.
  14. Thanks Guys, it is great to be part of a community like this. Yes NI only has one Audi dealer and I purchased the car through them. I had a very brief run through of the basic controls but was assured if I encountered any problem they were only a phone call away. Advice was take the handbook in one hand and experiment with the options as the best way to learn which I suppose has some logic to it. Anyhoo I am enjoying exploring my new toy and know I can always rely on the members of this site for help and advice.
  15. My apologies if I am posting in the wrong place but I am very much a newbe having joined today Yesterday after almost a year wait I took delivery of my first Audi, an A3 35 TFSI and at first impressions I am delighted with it and well worth the wait. To be honest I am struggling with getting to grips with all the controls but have managed to get the radio working and my phone paired to he car but anything else is beyond me so far. Any tips or shortcuts would be very much welcomed but please bear in mind I am akin to the village idiot so please keep it simple. 😁 Great to be here and I look forward to being a member of the Audi community.
