Mark you see the plastic rivets on the lower arm I had a problem removing them so I ended up replacing them ! £10 for 4 , Job took me about 2.5 to 3 hours

Heads up the screwed on my spring compressors were too long so I cut them down. But I only paid £25 for them

I didn’t need to do anything apart of removing the lower stock mount bolt and then use a bottle jack and a piece of tube over the bottle jack top to the stock top mount fitting bolt , using a pair of springs compresses to compress the spring evenly enough to pull out the rubber mount I’ve got to thank Spartacus for his write up . And mine s a Quattro too a

Also paid £36 for a years Audi remote service so I can check the that the cars locked and location, if the alarm goes off u get notification on ur phone app

Think the brake fluid change is every 2 years after 3 years old too

I’ve just taken out another All in service plan out 3 months ago just to give me peace of mind really , the last plan I claimed for both rear doors locks and also a brake servo restriction fault which would have cost me over £1000 if the dealership was charging me so in that respect the first service plan paid for itself really If urs is an auto the gearbox oil requires replacing @ 38k miles,

Hi Skiduk I’ve got the same A6 model, had it 3 years now and still love it , Ive used Derby Audi for servicing which has been under Audis All in service plan. My front brakes pad are down to 70% wear and Audi have just quoted me £1050 just for front discs and pads, I’m going to do them myself and have managed to get the parts for £350 . Rear spring mount rubber’s corroding was an mot advisory when the car was 4 years old, Audi quited me £320 each side for replacing them but did them myself rubber mount were £50 , Tyres Continental x4 £860 . My A6 has had 2 faults in the it’s 5 years which were both rear door locks playing up and they were replaced and a brake servo restriction fault ! That was a little pressure switch near the servo that monitors vacuum, both fault were repaired under the all in warranty . I don’t think it’s been bad at all personally Hope this helps mate

I had the brake servo restriction fault not long ago, if the codes the same as mine it’s the pressure sensor near the brake servo! mine was intermittent would go away after turning off and engine the back on ! what other people have said is if fault stays on the ABS pump then takes over braking and that it can get damaged if driven over long distances . By the looks of it in other forums it’s common fault across all Audi’s The pressure sensor is about £94 from Audi parts . Audi changed mine under the all in warranty. Hope this helps also mine seem to throw up the fault when stop start kicked in so I would switch it off straight away after starting the engine . Pressure Sensor 5Q0906207A

Is it normal condensation issues around the windscreen with cold weather in the morning maybe, mine does it all the time

Also check rear spring mount lower rubbers for corrosion as they is a aluminium plate inside that can start to corrode, it’s not a biggy but Audi Derby wanted £320 a side to change them ! They’re £20 each and it took me 2.5 hours to change both of them with pair of spring compressors but I’m handy with spanner’s on my driveway The A4 b9 forums will have much more detail on them as they are used on a few models. Mines a 2020 2l tfsi black edition too , I’ve paid £16 for the month and also updated the sat nav maps

Audi want £777 for fitting rear discs and pads and £854 which is expensive I think audi parts are about £550 for rears and the same on the front so just doing a bit of digging at the minute.

Yeah the spring mounts took about 2.5 hours to do both sides, just dropped the shock bottom bolt off and used a set of spring compressor's and a little help from a bottle jack and extension tube pushing off the top shock mount pushing the to push the suspension down wards. I have been looking getting brakes from LLL parts have anyone used them ?

I was checking out my rear brakes yesterday after replacing my A6’s rear spring mount that had the typical corrosions. My cars done 32k and are down to about 4mm , discs are lipped too so maybe their ready for changing Funny enough it was reading your post on Audi sport forum about changing corroded rear spring mounts that made my mind up about doing it myself instead of paying Audi’s £320
