I wish people would post back to the original thread and let everyone know what happened. IE what it turned out to be and how they fixed it and if the issue has gone away. This would be super useful for ALL of us that own these cars where this seems to be a big issue.

Sorry to hear of this with your car. The only thing I can say is that after watching YouTube videos, the drain tube seems to come out somewhere in the real wheel arch. However, at just 4 months, I would not mess with it and go straight back to the dealer or wherever you got it from and plead your case. The location of the Amp is a pretty silly place, especially when this seems to be an issue that's know with these cars. I would have thought the boot would have been a better place for the amp. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Here are the glasses with the foam strip.

I keep forgetting to grab my sunglasses from out of the car and take a picture, but, I solved the problem with some semi-wrap around sunglasses I had, and some thin foam padding which had 3M adhesive backing on it. I cut it into a slim length and stuck it to the top of the sunglasses frame, so the foam follows the frame from one end to the other, and it works perfectly, no need for the baseball cap . . . Unless you want to wear it that is, but it's nice to have a choice now. I think the main thing here is that cars now have shorter screens in front of you, which is where the sun gets down behind the glasses, whereas the Triumph Stag had a longer windscreen / frame that went into a T shape, but of course these cars now are much more open, which is lovely. I'll pop a pic up tomorrow.

I was hoping that my initial thread explained everything quite clearly? I started this thread because I didn't think I would be the only one suffering from this, and from reading articles around on the web it seems it's an issue a lot suffer from. However it's nice to know there is an alternative to wearing a baseball cap or peaked cap if you don't want to. Thats why I started this thread. The image above is an idea. I think I will order an insert, but I will be cutting away the bottom and sides because I want to maintain my preipheral vision, and it's also not needed below either. It may be a bit pricey, but I only need one and at least it solves the problem, and for the amount of time each year that this would be an issue it's a trade off. However this encased solution may also be a great fix for people with hay fever that suffer from runny eyes all the time too as an added bonus.

I bet that topic title got some of you going, thinking what this then? Driving Topless ! Anyway. The last time I had a convertible was a Triumph Stag. Gorgeous car, and driving this TT brings back fond memories. However, during the beautiful weather we had last year I discovered something. Driving with the roof down caused an issue with visibility during the bright sunshine in that it got behind the sunglasses at the top and made you end up squinting. This can of course be alleviated by wearing a baseball cap because the peak stops the sun getting behind the top of the glasses. But have any of you found a way around this so you don't have to wear the cap? I appreciate it may seem a silly point to some, but I surely can't be the only one to experience this? Thanks for any tips or info in advance.

Hi Gareth. Just the bottom of the seat gets hot, not the back. When I go out tomorrow I'll check the passenger seat now too. PS What about the DRL's ? Thanks.

Hello. Can I just get some clarification from someone in the know please. A 2016 TT Roadster. Mine does have the electric seats, and heated seats both sides, and wow, they do get hot. However, is it supposed to be just the bottom seat that gets warm? or is the back / top part of the seat supposed to get ward too? Many thanks for the help. PS How do we turn off the DRL's if you wanted to? Thank you again.

Thanks for the additional information all. I'm still thinking about this OBD Eleven stuff, but, If I do go ahead it will only be for the disabling of the start stop which drives me blinking bonkers. And also maybe for the accoustic confirmation for the locking/unlocking. This is a nice feature when you are in the works car park to have a confirmation tone because you can't always hear the door locks themselves. (I know the indicators flash, but when we are rushing around putting stuff in your coat pockets etc when leaving the car you don't always notice.) Thank you again. PS How do you know which module to buy? First or Second generation? Also how do you know how many credits you will need to alter the things I mentioned? (Sorry if these are stupid questions.)

Hello all. Just picked up my forst Audi, a 2016 TT Roadster TFSI and wondered if anyone would be so kind as to advise if it's possible to do something about the start stop feature. For example do I have to hit the stitch every time I get in the car and start it to turn off the start stop? I was kind of hoping that it had one of those "Last setting" things where it remembered the last state, so if I turned it off then it remained off unles I turned it back on again! Thank you in advance for any help offered. PS Just in case anyone wondered if I was being lazy. I am waiting for the dealer to replace the owners manual and hand books because they seem to have missplaced the originals from this impecibly well looked after car.
