  1. Checked all fuses straight away, my mistake was not actually knowing it was a broken wire, i suspected but didnt expect such a clean live break, so when I moved the rubber it sparked. I did re check and solder the wires, I got power to close the window but no lights inside or indicator in the mirror, back door worked but again no light on window button. I am not an electrician or in anyway experienced with soldering, so maybe not perfect considering its dark too. But why power and no lights? I assume the connection held but surely it should power it all? Are the lights another wire? Also brown wire and red and green stripe, what are they?
  2. Evening, so I had the common broken wires in the drivers door. When repairing them it sparked and was wondering if the module as blown. Is there anything other than the module to check? Does a new module need coding? And would power direct to the window motor allow me to raise the window as its down. Just to add the key fob doesn't work either. This was before the window problem. If anyone can help. I appreciate it as now I have a car with an open window. Won't lock and I have to park it on the road. Thank you.
  3. Underboost error not come back as of a few miles of stop start driving. Other 2 errors are stored as permanent. Also to show the sort of person that sold me this car, anyone know if the bulb for the mil light can be changed. Mine seems to not be working... Thanks again, I try and post as much info for the smarter people to help.
  4. Should add the 85% never changed at idle or driving, and the other reading something goes to 2% Thank you
  5. I have not long since got myself an audi a3. 2.0 tdi sport. Can anyone confirm, if my relative throttle is 0.0 when driving and the other reading is 85%, does that mean my throttle sensor as had it? Just for added info. I currently have the p2015 error code and an exhaust temperature fault. The exhaust freeze frame reads when rpm, I guess that sensor is done too. Also underboosting, suspect either one of these or the vanes, but starting with the easy options. Thank you, sorry for the long post and slightly jumbles post. Freeze frame read out below. Freeze frame DTC = P0544 Engine load - calculated value = 0% Engine coolant temperature = 63°C Intake manifold absolute pressure = 100kPa Engine speed = 0rpm Vehicle speed = 0km/h Intake air temperature = 46°C Mass air flow = 0.8g/s Throttle - absolute position = 90.98% Fuel rail pressure = 100kPa Ps, I still like the car haha
  6. Thank you for the reply, sadly private sale. It's a manual, I was thinking turbo vanes. But not sure as I been driving petrol for the last 10 years.
  7. To add. I am assuming limp mode would tell me, however not 100% on that
  8. Afternoon, I recently joined the world of owning an audi. And picked myself up a a3 8p 2010 2.0 tdi sport. I have come to ask for help I have a problem when I hit a certain Speed, the car stops accelerating and tell me to down shift on the display. It does this until I stop, once I turn the car off and on again it works again until I hit a certain speed. Think motorway speeds. There is no warnings or lights. It feels like a limiter but that doesn't seem to be on. Any help or suggestions on where to look as I am back at work Wednesday and hope to have it sorted. Thanks guys.
