  1. I've had a few Jap imports in my time MR2 turbo , GT4 etc. All were in exceptional condition and all had been unersealed on their arrival to a dealer. Never had an issue selling them on either, all parts are available and there was never an issue with things getting lost in translation due to a combination of most parts having English print on them somewhere and Google assistance. Haven't had an import for about 12 years now though. Oh, and they all had a high spec on them especially for the price. And the mileage....super low. The only exception i ever found to euro spec being better was on the twin turbo supra where the UK got full leather and bigger brakes plus about 50bhp extra. If i found a good vehicle imported i would not hesitate if the price was right. I always made sure the car was in the country so i could go inspect it first, i've heard a few horror stories from people who imported their own.
  2. It should have been done twice now as the interval is 40k as far as i am aware
  3. Sounds like a cluster display issue to me, if the running temps are fine as the obd would show, personally I wouldn't worry too much. It sounds like you've tried everything else. Also, I am NOT an Audi technician or vehicle tech of any description and often wrong. Are there other temperature sensors that could be replaced as well as the one you have already done? @Sid2020 knows his stuff, perhaps he can assist you better than I
  4. I had to google what this is, ordered some now. Thanks Mike!

Hi , check this thread out
  6. Hi Gary, whats the mileage? has it ever had a gearbox service? The solenoids could be sticking/failing
  7. Hi Mike and welcome. This is indeed the correct place to start with a hello. There is a dedicated section for A5's and questions regarding them would be best posted in there. Regards, Chris
  8. Ha! at least you got to the bottom of it. And it didn't cost a penny to remove anything that had crawled in somewhere and died. Sounds like a result to me, maybe a trip to the opticians though 😂
  9. @s4quattro Did you ever get to the bottom of the smell?
  10. Hi Mark, and welcome. Nice looking A6 you have there
  11. Nowt wrong with 280bhp, sounds like an interesting project. I'll be following with interest
  12. Nice one! The bill for this lot will not be pleasant I would think. Looks like it going to be a very quick car with those mods. And loud, but the good loud. Looking forward to seeing this put together
  13. How is this project going Steve? Have you made any progress yet?
  14. I managed to connect my phone via Bluetooth to my car, but its phone calls only. Still stuck with cd's for the time being.
  15. That is gorgeous, i love the colour and the wheels. Really really nice Paul, congrats!
  16. Hi Paul , and welcome. We need pictures, it sounds like a real nice car
  17. There should be a little button next to the switch for the lights, if you push it , it pops out and you can adjust the brightness of the dash. Hope that helps , Chris
  18. That looks great! It looks to be in fantastic condition for its age, nice find!
  19. Good stuff! glad you found one you liked. Can't wait for the pics to appear. So....lets see it then
  20. Thanks Steve! I spend a lot of time cleaning it as i hate to see it dirty. Possibly the most i've ever hoovered out a car several times that didn't need it. Can't stop or help myself i just love it. Currently signed off work with a trapped nerve in my neck so cleaning can take a while. Took me 3 hours the other day just for a detailing quick spray and wipe. Luckily i have all the time i need currently
  21. It is my current RS5 , loved them since they day they came out but never imagined i'd actually have one. There used to be a gold coloured B2 coupe down the road from my mums many years ago, did you have a preferred colour in mind?
  22. After picking up my dream car a few days before christmas with a "why the hell not" attitude, i say go for it. They're getting harder to find every year
  23. Hi Alan , nice to see another Scottish member on here
