  1. Yes. Audi map upgrades are ridiculous. If I pay for 1 months navigation on Ford Focus ST it automatically updates the map and then I can go back to using WAZE. It's a great free app for navigation
  2. Strangely this week for a very short time, the indicator click was noticeably louder. I cannot establish how this happened. It was useful to hear the indicator. It is too quiet. But I have no idea as to how and why it became louder
  3. Looks like Android isn't letting anyone download the necessary files now to allow this to work. Because the Macrodroid isn't on Google Play store
  4. At least it was an easy fix. I'll know what to do if it happens again. I'm on a 3 month plan..but have lost the first month messing around with my phone and apps. I've asked Cubic to credit my missing month.mi hadn't actually used the data. See what they say.
  5. Thanks Pete. That looks interesting and challenging. I'm surprised that someone like Macrodroid doesn't offer a ready made app as a one off fee. That could be good business for them. How do you get the If icon. I'll play around with this and see how I get on. Cheers
  6. Hi, Macrodroid sounds like a good idea and would save me from buying Cubic wifi plans Haven't come across Macrodroid before. I have, I think, set up a Macro. But I can't believe it would be so easy. Thoughts? Thanks
  7. Update here having had to proactively phone Cubic. I have had to log out if MYAudi. Remove my VIN and re-enter the VIN.

  9. Hi. Having just got my first Audi in January and having paid the £16 and separately £4 app fees. Is it worth it. No. I let both lapse and haven't missed anything. Having had a Jaguar XF previous to my A6, Jaguar's FREE app was much better than Audi. The £4 won't even alert you if you have left the car unlocked. And Audi App support standard response to why are alerts not sent..thank you for your feedback. They're not interested in fixing anything
  10. Hi, Is anyone currently using Cubic WiFi. I have renewed my data plan and find the Internet connectivity somewhat erratic. Even if I switch off my phone, I thought that Duckduckgo VPN was potentially impacting Android Auto, so I have uninstalled that. But I am still finding the MMI rebooting several times trying to get connectivity. Trying to connect a tablet and eventually give up. I might be as well reverting to my phone's hot-spot. I've contacted Cubic for feedback. Has anyone else experienced issues with this? Thanks

  12. Issue appears to be resolved
  13. Thanks Steve. No don't hear anything going on to suggest that the latch mechanism is trying to open. It's only a 22 plate. So I'd be disappointed if it was corrosion. Inconvenient. But not paying for a repair. Thank you
  14. Anyone else seeing this issue. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app. But still getting the error
  15. I just can't seem to open the boot manually. The settings are for all doors and boot to be available to open. But for some reason it will only work via the key fob or internal release mechanism. Any ideas? Thanks
  16. I do. thank you. Which is why I'm happy to share my stupidity having saved myself a small fortune on a new key. Such a silly mistake. Every day is a school day right enough
  17. Issue resolved. User error. Happy to embarrass myself if it helps others....this safety label was still attached to the new battery and wouldn't complete the circuit. Thanks everyone. 🫣
  18. It's definitely the key. The spare one is working well. I just need to find out how you reproamme the other key. Strange that there appears to be a lack of guidance anywhere for keyless vehicles.

  20. So many YouTube videos are for older non keyless cars. 1st insert key !!! Finally found one where you actually put the key fob, at least in my instance, into the centre console against the remote key symbol. Altough I can start the car I cannot do anything else. One video suggested holding the open and lock buttons simultaneously to complete the programme. But nothing is happening. Am I being very unlucky in that by simply replacing the battery in the key fob. I have lost the programming on the key. I'm sure that there must be a simple fix before having to callout a mobile mechanic. The Audi handbook is not helpful
  21. Thank you Steve I'll have a look at YouTube
  22. My car key wouldn't open the car unless I had my hand on the door handle. Changed the battery, after watching videos, now key fob will not work at all. Battery is correctly inserted. Do I need to "pair" the key fob with the car. Thanks
  23. Same here. I've never had a car with so many chips. Tried repairing one. Didn't really work. They're not big enough to claim on insurance. Have to just ignore them
  24. Jaguar XF where the app was very good, as is Ford's, the Audi app is awful. It won't actively send you any notifications if you leave it unlocked. I'm glad that I only took the month option. It tells me where the car is for free. As for the other £16 monthly subscription. Same. Don't. Fire up WAZE for satnav. It's brilliant and FREE traffic alerts.
  25. Yes. I did this too. I only got my first Audi 22 plate in January. Having had a Jaguar XF where the app was very good, as is Ford's, the Audi app is awful. It won't actively send you any notifications if you leave it unlocked. I'm glad that I only took the month option. It tells me where the car is for free. As for the other £16 monthly subscription.
