OEM numbers and wiring diagrams
I retrofitted a reverse camera on my 2023 A3. OBD11 worked fine to unlock SFD and do long coding. I used oem camera and wiring loom parts from main dealer which were cheaper than online. I did have to get the camera parameters loaded at my local indie but only £30. Finding wiring diagrams for recent models is difficult and erwin etc is your best bet. A friendly dealership should be able to give you part numbers and any wiring add ons. Good luck. Keep us posted on progress. Always interested in retrofits.

S3 8Y mud flaps
Need to check with audi parts at dealership to be sure. Different bumper designs between models require different mudflaps and have different part numbers as you have probably discovered, hence the question.

mode ev problem
Thanks for your reply. Hope all fixed now. So it was a heating/cooling pump issue that the fault code identified. Seems to be a fairly common problem across audi, vw, seat, skoda cars. Interesting that it affected ev battery operation in your case.

mode ev problem
Hi Aimilios Any news on the check at the garage? Be useful knowledge to share with others.

mode ev problem
Looks like you need to visit the dealer to get it sorted.

mode ev problem
That could be related to the heating/cooling system. Your symptoms could be caused by sensors ensuring there is no overheating of the battery. Speculation on my part as do not have a hybrid and Internet is not much use on this one.

Surround Cameras on 2025 S3
Hi Mark No they do not have dash cams fitted from the factory. The surround parking assist ones don't record. I think it may have something to do with privacy laws in some countries or just cost? although a dash cam performs the same function. You can get official audi ones fitted by the dealership.

Which fuel type?
OOps! Yes my mistake

Which fuel type?
Always use E10 in mine and so 97 or 99 Octane. E5 is hygroscopic so if left in the tank for long periods can cause rust in the tank and has a slightly lower calorific value than E10. As said previously cleaning agents in fuel can be beneficial even if premium fuel is only used occasionally.

No spare tyre
Had the same issue. Just give the polystyrene holder a firm pull and it will come out.

New A3 questions
Seen a few comments that say sonos takes more time to adjust to your liking than b&o.

Air bag light.
Often get multiple faults after disconnecting the battery. Need to leave it disconnected for about 30 mins. Usually clears after driving a couple of miles. If the airbag light stays on a useful fault code reader is OBDeleven that also resets fault codes. Basic version is about £50 and pro version about £80. Since dealers charge about £100 to run a diagnostic they are worth considering.

Engine noise
Does it increase with engine speed? First thought was possibly an injector problem but just a guess.

No spare tyre
Raising an old thread but spent some time on researching fitments so thought it might help . All mk7 appropriately sized parts fit as well as A3 8v parts. I recently bought an A3 35tfsi with 19" wheels. Bought on ebay a spare wheel 18" from a vw mk7 gti 2018 for £75, a jack set from vw mk7 for £45, a spare wheel well liner from an A3 8v for £35 and plastic bolt for £7.50. Could have got a spare wheel for less but of indeterminate age. Very pleased with the result and price😬

OEM reversing camera retrofit
Thanks for the additional info on roof route from both of you. I was hoping to keep the wiring as near original as possible so the floor route was my aim. Had forgotten the curtain airbag!!

OEM reversing camera retrofit
Seen a couple of videos of rear hatch trim removal and think your comment about fingers seems realistic. My concern about the roof lining route which most aftermarket fitters seem to use is the possibility of rattles at a later date. Have you noticed any problems Anton?

OEM reversing camera retrofit
Thanks for the really helpful replies. I have an audi guide for the 8y mmi connections that identify plugs and which pins to add so hopefully that will work. Coding very useful. Had vcds in the past but did not bother to replace after using the vin allocation on family cars but can do the same with obd11. Good thought to look at panel parts on ebay to see where clips go. Have some spare clips from a previous vw golf which seem to be the same as audi. Just got to find the time to take the plunge. Just for info audi want £860 to fit and most others are about £600.

OEM reversing camera retrofit
Thanks for your response. The camera kit I am thinking of buying has already been calibrated with the superimposed grid lines in the reverse view on the screen. I can do the coding and sdf acceptance using obd11 Pro. It is the cable routing and trim removal and refitting that makes me a bit nervous - so easy to break clips and crack trim.

Wanted to save myself £300, hence the request

OEM reversing camera retrofit
Recently bought an edition 1. Has anyone fitted this as a diy fit. Particularly interested in hardwire routing through the car to the mmi. Pictures would be a bonus. Many thanks.

a3 warning features
Just got a 2023 A3 and have used obd11 to set the lane assist to remember the last setting so saves me one job on startup.

Help.needed with reverse camera wiring
You can buy 12v to 5v converters on the net for £5. Used them in the past for phone charging.

Help.needed with reverse camera wiring
Only just seen this. Probably easiest route is the reversing light.
