  1. Thanks to both of you for your help on this, am out and about over the weekend so will be giving it a go.
  2. Hi Martyn, I'll look forward to learning how as well. It does strike as a bit of an omission to not have it! Andy
  3. Hi Gulio, I thought there was, though have never used that feature. Have just been and checked for you. No there isn't. The options available are to just play albums in Alpha order, or tracks in Alpha order (does offer some basic sort of jumbling things up, or by music genre as well as by playlist. Track listing or playlist may be the best option. I know what you mean about the songs always in the same order, feels like when friends stay over just too long... Then again, with a card offering 125Gb, its a lot of friends. If you are playing back via a phone with good internet connection, can I suggest you try Radio Paradise, always has a good selection on of varying types of music (and no !Removed! adverts). Good luck Andy
  4. Hi and thanks for the reply. Yes we have played music through the blue tooth connection via Apple phone. I have, since posting found out how to play FLAC files from a USB stick. Still leaves the question of whether apps can be downloaded onto the MMI, allowing direct access to Radio Paradise, but is not really a major inconvenience. Ideally I would like to download Qobuz onto the MMI as well, but hey. Cheers Andy
  5. I have answered my own question, but thought providing the answer may save some one else looking to deeply. The connection part was a "user error" (mine) not realising not to respond to the screen message on first entering the car with "continue", should have responded "select"... Ho hum. As to the music source. The system on our model (Q5 TFSI e 50) 2025 model does play music directly from a USB stick. The file structure should be formatted "FAT32". I have music files stored as FLAC and Apple AAC, the FLAC files are both 16 bit and 24 bit, and up to 192khz. All play perfectly well. To. a lot of people, the above might not one important, to me it is. Far easier to upload files to a USB stick than my I phone and then playing it through the I phone system. Hope this might help others. Andy
  6. Hi All Hopefully some one will already have tried and found the answer to this question. We have recently bought a Q5 with Tech pack pro. This includes a B&O sound system. We are having a bit of bother getting our I phones to stay connected so I wondered if a USB memory stick with music on could be a music source? ( We are also having a bit of bother getting connected to the UTR system, but that will be another post). I believe I have read elsewhere that the system does allow for this and will play back FLAC files. If so, what file system should be used when formatting the USB drive? Perhaps it doesn't matter? Look forward to your replies and sorry if it has been asked before. Andy
  7. Wow, I know this is an old thread, but is a surprising question. We have just bought a Q5 TFSI e 2025 model with the tech pack pro, which includes B&O sound system. Has there been any updates as to wether B&O have had anything to do with the system or not? If not any advice on contacting B&O directly to ask would be appreciated. Andy
  8. Hi Guys I suppose this is not specific to the Q5, but here goes. We have just taken delivery of a Q5 TFSI e 2025 model. I normally listen to Radio Paradise ( an internet station) and have a feeling I can only do that via air play from my I phone. I also like to listen to digital copies of my music library, again this can be done via airplay, but I wondered if, A) can an app be downloaded to the MMI system for Radio Paradise to be played from within? B) If the music files were put on a USB device and plugged in, is the MMI device capable of playing the files (mostly FLAC high def)? If this post is better posted to a different sector of the forum, please feel free to relocate it. Andy
  9. HI Have had Nextbase front and back cams for quite a while on our previous car, always worked a treat although luckily never had to call on them for evidence. Very easy to install as long as you can get to the fuse box. Have opted for the Audi kit on our new buggy as I didn't fancy trying to force wires behind the roof and pillar lining. If you fit it yourself, I found one of those plastic tools for scraping a freezer clean worked wonders to push the wires securely in. We removed the Nextbase before trading the car in, it will no doubt be on e bay shortly. Good luck Andy
  10. Hi Everybody I suppose you can guess my name... We have just bought an Audi Q5 TFSI e S line with Tech Pack Pro. Really happy so far with the 35 miles covered so far. Haven't got a piccy on this laptop to share just now, but will do later. Previous car just traded in was an Abarth 695 XSR. It had suspension made from granite, we only covered about 500 miles a year since 2019 as K, my wife suffered Osteoporosis, 11 fractured vertebrae and a loss of height. Driving on the roads of East Lancs became a nightmare. We are very hopeful the Q5 will alleviate some of this. We get the charging point installed at the end of the month from Octopus so am looking forward to some very economical miles in the near future. I am sure ( I know) we will have some niggles and issues (it is a very tech car) that others have had and already resolved, so with any luck, if I ask questions, I won't be treated as a numb head and our issues can be resolved with friends advice. All the best and look forward to chatting soon. Andy
