FYI My channels are all back without me having to do the "update channel list". I hadn't deleted the unavailable channels though.

As happy as I am to have my channels back, I can't help but feel a little dissatisfied. Maybe it's my inquisitive nature but I'd really like to know what the issue was because if someone somewhere didn't do something to fix it, it could well happen again.

As I see it, the issue will come down to whether the DAB+ decoding is done in firmware or whether it's done in a dedicated chip. If it's firmware then you'd think it would be relatively easy to update. If it's a dedicated chip, it would need to be replaced i.e. radio removed and disassembled, chip desoldered and removed, new chip installed, etc. We'd better hope it's firmware only.

Well spotted, Sir. That's what mine says also. They're bang to rights, aren't they? It'll be interesting to see how they respond.

Thing is, as I understand it, it's not just Bauer Media Audio UK. It will eventually be all channels.

Add me to the list. Just noticed today that loads of DAB channels not working anymore. Glad I'm not alone but not holding my breath for a fix. Audi A1 2017.
