i must have been luck when i fitted them to my old a3 8p. everything was perfect. i guess you'll have to live without the roof rails

Come on a decent drill and a metal bit, 8 holes whats to be worried about :) Some a3 have the holes marked on the inside others dont not sure why! i dont have a template but im sure you can find one online. :)

Yes to fit these, the roof needs to be drilled, 4 holes on each side to secure the rails properly. There have been some cases over the years where by people have glued the rails down. Obviously this isn't the right way to go about fitting these.
