  1. I'd be interested too would just depend on dates as I work shifts (2 weekends out of 4!) :(
  2. Cracking day out and to top it off the weather was fantastic. Can't to do it all again soon 😊. (Pic's to follow)
  3. Well up and brewed up, see you all soon to all who are meeting up this weekend.
  4. It's ok, I get to have some fun down some back roads on the way that I haven't driven for a long time. 😊
  5. And to make things worse I've just had to swerve to miss a kid that ran into the road and I've just took a masive chunk out of one of the front alloys! 😠. I is not a happy little bunny!!!!
  6. Most of the body work isn't too bad but the nose is rubish!!!! 😭😭
  7. It's alot cleaner than mine. With the weather and life in general I had the grand total of just 1 hour to give jer a quick clean. 😭. Oh well she'll be dirty again after the 90 mile drive tomorrow!
  8. Would be interesting to see the age brackets of voters of each model 😊.
  9. Well mine's getting a wash tomorrow even if it's lashing down! Not sure how clean she'll be after the 90 miles there on Saturday though!!!!
  10. Just need some good weather now to clean the car! That should be interesting!
  11. Fair point never thought about the auto's! 😊
  12. Any chance you can post a clip of it at idol stood in front of the car (about 30 sec!). Try to eliminate any other sounds like wind, it's not a bad idea to put your phone in a woolly sock! Just so you understand it's extremely hard to try and help diagnose a fault this way and what I suggest could/may be the issue would be just a well educated guess from experience!
  13. It realy can be a mixed bag when it comes to mpg and it mainly comes down to type of driving (as Magnet mentioned) and driving style. With my A3 2.0 TDI on a 43 mile trip to work I have had as much as just over 60mpg or as little as 22mpg. A good test would be to take it on a good run on the motorway. 50mph in 5th is got spot for the 2.0 TDI in general and should see you at 50+ mpg easy if not more!
  14. I think that just sounds like the blow off vavle when you lift off! I'll have another listen from my laptop later with some head phone as phone speakers not the best!
  15. Get the garage to do the brake nosie before you pick it up! What it likely is, is that at somepoint on a pad change someone has probably found it awkward to put tge new pads in and instead of cleaning up the caliper they take out the stainless steel fitting kit! Then what happens is the pad has too much free play and leans over and runs on the disk causing the noise! Easy fix though if thats the case 😊
  16. It only cost a couple hundred quid and did the job untill I got my next Audi 😊. It was a mess internally I never seen oil go like that, it was almost like tar!!!!
  17. Yep it's already had it done. Just to be clear although it has been known to cause issues, most don't so if you find a good one don't be put off by the fact it's had it done. If you find one that hasn't though I personally wouldn't get it done as it's not legally required and it's been noted in some cases that you can lose performance and economy! Happy hunting dude hopefully you've found a gem 😁.
  18. I used to get around 600-700 miles out of a tank in the 140 comuting to work and back (43.5 miles each way). At the very worst 350-400. It really depends how heavy your right foot is. 😊
  19. All you need is the reg and you can check it online.
  20. I had a 2008 A3 140 s-line which was fantastic, was capable of over 60mpg if you tickled it! (That didn't happen very often 😊). Unfortunatelt it got wrote off with a rear end shunt and my replacement was my current 2011 A3 170 Quattro s-line. Besides the extra power the 170 is worlds apart mainly due to being quattro. After driving a quattro I don't think I could go back to a 2wd! If you don't mine paying the extra tax I'd say go for the 170. Anothet good thing to look out for is ask if it's had the emmisions update and if it has make sure you take it for a good test drive at least 10-15 miles to get it right up to temp. I've heard a few stories now where the update had caused an issue and rathet than getting it sorted they have just been sold as seen to whoever is unfortunate enough to buy it. If in any doubt mate ask on here there are plenty of us to help you dodge a bad egg!
