  1. 😅
  2. Thanks Gareth, will get recommendations from my mates. All the best
  3. Thanks for such a speedy reply Gareth Unfortunately, I know from personal history that I am likely to botch the job so figure an independent probably cheaper than mains dealer?
  4. Hi guys My screen washer has just died, having shown no problems at all. No noise at all, so figure fuse or washer itself. My fuse box diagram doesn't show a slot for the screenwasher, can anyone help me out? Obvs, I'm hoping it's the fuse. Thanks guys
  5. Mine is new too - February 17. Seems to vary a bit but last full tank I did 715 miles. The car computer said just over 50 mpg but when I worked it out on actual fuel/miles, I made it about 48 mpg. In my experience eco mode makes a big difference, changes up through the gears much more quickly. Keep us posted and good luck
  6. I have managed to source a second hand ECU but can't find anyone to fit in Romford/Essex/East London area. If you know someone, please let me know. Many thanks Russell
  7. Hi Gareth Thanks very much for this. Certainly, the convertible place I went to were surprised that other circuits weren't affected so it might well be the BCU. Will try to follow your advice, anyone know a good independent in the Hornchurch/Romford area? Thanks everyone Russell
  8. Hi there I've the very happy owner of a new A6 Avant so am selling my 2008 A4 Convertible. It would be a good buy for someone as I replaced the cambelt last year and sorted out a couple of engine oil leaks. I get it washed and valeted, put the hood down for the first time in 2018 to take photos for autotrader. Needless to say, the hood won't go back up. I take it to my local soft top specialist who are great - all the motor for the hood is working fine. The problem apparently is the electronic box which controls the hood and numerous other things (all of which seem to be working). Apparently it's water damaged. Apparently, I have to go to Audi and get them to replace this and re-programme it. It sounds like it will cost a fortune. Given that I was hoping to sell the car for £3,500, has anyone got any advice? I don't want to see anyone a pup but obviously don't want to spend a fortune on a car I'm getting rid of. It's got 83k on the clock by the way. Thanks very much everyone Russell
  9. Hi I'm still waiting for my new A6 Avant (2.0 TDI Ultra SE Executive). It was built 10 days ago and waiting for it to be transported. I asked my dealer about Android Auto but he said I didn't spec this. Surely, I can get this fitted somehow, I thought all new Audis had this capability...? Any advice gratefully received Russ
  10. Thanks Steve - and you're right about the wait...
  11. Hi everyone I've just ordered a new A6 Avant TDI ultra S tronic and have to wait until Feb/March to pick it up. Only downside is that I will be selling my beloved 2008 A4 cabriolet. Hoping to pick up lots of tips & tricks until I'm able to contribute my own. All the best
