  1. Hey My 04' 3.2 A3 decided to shed it's clutches in the DSG, 113k miles or so done well for 3 years. I decided to call it a day, I spent enough time and money on it. I have replaced it with a 2008 SE 3.0tdi, what difference, so much better than the 16plate Passat I had to scrap, and about 50bsteps better than the A3, Had a few issues but that's why I managed to get it so cheap. I know but cheap buy twice but this isn't the case. I do have a couple of issues that need resolved First is the rear brakes, needs disc's and pads, needs an under tray, which I've purchased a metal Scut Protection replacement, the inner rear tail lights which were bought refurbished from China. The last thing to do is a oil and filter service.
  2. Hi all, can anyone tell me how to code Lithuanian Injectors to a UK car. Stupidly it seems, I bought a complete fuel system fromLithuania. When trying to code using the 7 digit code from the injector VCDS tells me it the wrong country code and I know have FFFFFFF. Is there a possible workaround. I jad just replaced the HP fuel pump. Easy enough but a lot of work as im sure many of you are aware. Any advice even telling me ive wasted £900 buying the complete fuel system. Thanks in advance
  3. Hi Steve, Thanks for reply firstly. Im under the impression that the 7 digit code tells the ECU the calibration of the injector Idle is smooth and no real power loss as far as I can tell, but looking for info some say wrong injector code could cause issues as in Idle, power, fueling rate. Like I say it seems to run smooth. Unfortunately unable to put foot down as also have main pressure valve issue in transmission. There's no faults in engine either. I think the reason I am unable to code with the 7 digit code on injector is because ECU knows code is from a different market (Lithuania) and not UK spec for emissions. I suppose no faults, runs good no problems really Thanks for your input, appreciated 👏
  4. Hi I don't think you have wasted your money, find another C7 and use the codes from that as far as I am aware the coding number is an acceptance code to let the ECU know its had a new unit, the injectors are all the same and once accepted will re learn their values very quickly. Steve.
  5. Hey, anyone any advice on this one? Will not open or close with buttons, lock/unlock mechanism works fine. 0623(1).mp4
  6. I have a 2006 b7 4.2 convertible, its roof has failed!,I’ve tried disconnecting battery to reset/hel switch open and closed for 30secs??, i cant access the boot to access pump etc, any advice would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏻
  7. Hi everyone, After standing for a couple of weeks the car will not start. It turns over normally, no trouble codes are present so trying to trouble shoot the fueling. Tracked down the fuel pump relay to the left hand plenum electrical box ( relay part no: 8Z0 951 253 ) If I bridge pins 30 and 87 (thick red and green ) the fuel pump runs, pumping around half a litre in a few seconds at the fuel filter. The thin red/blue has 12v on it when the ignition is on, from what I red the ECU should apply a ground for a few seconds to the red/white wire. Checking the relay unplugged with 12v across the 2 thin wires ( pins 85 and 86 ) the relay works, connecting the green and red ( pins 30 & 87 ) . I guess this points to the ECU not suppling the earth when it should .. my question is do u think it is safe to apply an earth to red/white to test this theory? I did try cranking the motor with the fuel pump running ( pins 30 & 87 bridged ) but the motor didn't fire so perhaps there are further problems? Any thoughts or suggestions warmly received... Cheers John
  8. Hi all, was on le shuttle yesterday coming home when I noticed my drivers mirror indicator must have had a stone hit it and broken an inch off, no damage to the mirror. Has anyone replaced one? Is it an easy job and where to get a replacement that is the correct whiteness without paying main dealer price? Tia
  9. Hi, For what it's worth; I was lucky enough to have the Technology Pack on the A6 I bought, so I have the LED Matrix headlights and dynamic indicators on the front... I found some side (mirror) repeaters on eBay that were also 'dynamic' and had tinted plastic lenses so look black, like the rest of the car/mirror, until lit... And then the lights 'sweeps' outward in sequence like the indicators both front and rear. Cost me £30 for the pair, fitting is exactly as listed above, and they're still good 5 years later. Took the 'chinese knock-off gamble' and won, in this case. Hope yours are as easy as mine were to fit. Best Regards, Tigger
  10. Hello, my A3 gives no sound at all from rear speakers. I think it has an original factory subwoofer/amp in the back inside left wall. The amp clicks when turning radio on and off but gives no bass. What can I do to fix these problems? 1997 Audi A3 1.8T 8L Edit: after tweaking with fader button the subwoofer actually seems to give some bass
  11. It was an easy fix actually. I shouldnt have made the post. The problem was that rear speakers were disconnected. Why i didnt get bass from subwoofer, was bc fader was turned all they way to front speakers. Im new to cars and didnt even know a fader button exists.
  12. How about helping other members in a similar situation by telling us what was wrong and how it was fixed?
  13. Part is called turn signal indicator. Right hand side is 4G5949102B. Double check that with main dealer based on your registration. Think it should be around £45. Avoid Temu or EBay. https://www.lllparts.co.uk/catalogs/audi/RDW/A6/798/9/949/949000 To access, normally pop out glass, see if any screws, then prize mirror cap off, again using the trim tools, as usually clipped in. Unscrew the existing module, until electrics, and fit by reverse. Can be more complicated if lane assist or camera fitted. This is 2015 A6, so should be roughly the same. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hqps2U43fzI
  14. Hi everyone i bought an Audi A4 B9 2016 and when i press the clutch i had that sound from the video, it's the Pilot Bearing or a clutch problem? StreamableWatch unnamed | Streamable
  15. Done, but something is missing here, the mechanic don’t know what is missing here try to reach Audi but also they didn’t know. StreamableWatch unnamed | Streamable
  16. Hi you need to replace the whole thing, all four parts as it all wears as a set and the whole clutch will work out cheaper. Steve.
  17. Hi, i found the cheapest flywheel on Autodoc for 472, they charge £400 labour and £600 for parts, on eurocarpats it’s £1,200
  18. Hi find another garage without a sense of humour, just over a grand for a full four piece clutch including labour. Steve.
  19. I was today at a garage and they told me same thing, flywheel need change £1000 only the flywheel without the clutch.
  20. Hi they don't use a pilot bearing therefore its normally the Dual Mass Flywheel on its way out so complete clutch replacement is the only option I am afraid. Steve.
  21. Hi. I’m a newbie, having just bought my first Audi. A 2025 A5 Sportback and I’m loving it. The only problem I’m having is trying to play music on the B and O system from a memory stick. I checked some things out already and found that the Audi MMI system doesn’t like memory sticks bigger than 32gb so I bought a 32 gb memory stick and formatted it to FAT32. The music is all formatted to M4A so is not DRM protected. It plays in my wife’s car, a Peugeot 2008 GT. Any ideas will be gratefully received. Looking forward to all your knowledgeable suggestions.
  22. Cliff. Many thanks again for your prompt reply. FYI here is a list of acceptable audio formats for the 2025 Audi A5. The 2025 Audi A5's MMI infotainment system supports a wide variety of standard and high-fidelity audio formats. Whether you are streaming or playing locally stored music, the accepted formats include: [1, 2, 3] Lossless/High-Resolution: FLAC Compressed/Standard: MP3, AAC, and M4A Apple: Apple AAC and M4A Others: WMA [1, 2, 3] If you are loading music onto a USB-C flash drive or SD card to use directly with the vehicle's system, ensure that the drive is formatted to FAT32 or exFAT for the best compatibility. [1, 2, 3] I’m using music with the M4A format so it shoukd be ok. I can’t think of anything else to try.
