Hi, Hi have audi a3 2014 2.0tdi sline. It suffers with a starting fault. (Intermittent) car turns but sticks then after 2 or 3 turns it starts. Drives fine. I'm having error codes p223700 and p031400. The camshaft position sensor has been changed the belts etc have all been changed. Oxygen sensor has been changed. My fuel flap doesn't lock. I'm thinking I may have an electrical issue. As stated the car maybe fine for a month or two. If I adjust the heaters that work fine it's like it can make the fault happen. Any suggestions ? Ayoop folks, well my local garage with whom we have a good relationship (using them for 23 years now) have agreed that as I currently have about 6cm of ground clearance (one passerby said it looks "sick", I said it was very ill ) and even getting off the drive is nigh impossible, they'd drop by with the VCDS setup and scan to see if the fault can be identified.....I'm beginning to suspect one of the legs has given up the ghost but can't tell which one......and jacking the car is gonna be a nightmare but I'll find a way. I'll come back with an update when she's been scanned. Stay tuned folks.....

Yeah, mechanic replaced power steering column with a used one (costed around ~300 euros all in), haven't seen this issue once ever since.

Bought new sensor from audi and tried to replace it myself. I was able to release the wiring clip but not able to release the clips at either side. Any advice?

Hi everyone, I'm currently a happy owner of an A4 but giving serious consideration to a petrol Q3 Sportback, not sure whether to go for front wheel or quattro drivetrain. Any tips here would be helpful thanks. More importantly, is there anything you discovered after you got your Q3 that you wish you'd known beforehand? Thanks in advance.

on 2017 im getting a fault on antenna to infotainment system in passenger door it says any one got any idears some one said its a recall and can get it sorted for free is the right does any one no ???????

On mine it feels like I'm running low on fuel and the engine is stuttering. The RPMs also judder slightly. As soon as I start accelerating, even lightly, it's gone. In my experience a good way to manifest my problem is by cruising at low speeds (30-50km/h) and just barely feather the accelerator in a lower gear - e.g. 3-4th. No acceleration, just cruising at a consistent speed. I can also let go completely and very lightly press again and it might start doing it. Same happens at higher speeds, but due to the high gear, it's less noticeable. It's worth mentioning that it's not happening every time. Like I previously wrote, it's a bit hit & miss. I have the feeling that it's happening the most when the engine is still not up to temp. I hope this helps.

Okay that’s good news, I thought I would keep you updated with my progress, the seller has removed the injector to find that the copper sealing washer is basically non existent, he has ordered a new sealing kit and is going to replace which will hopefully fix the issues, it is really difficult to fully explain as it’s not full engine misfire just a judder, I would say it feels almost like clutch judder. Needless to say I’ll be taking it on another decent test drive before purchasing it, in your experience is there anything that constantly makes it judder?

I have never had any problems took car out dropped roof electric, all fine went diy store roof still down locked door by key later wen home went to put roof up not happening all solenoid sounds working light on panel flashing then the boot won’t open by key or fob but once again all solenoids clicking working. any help please .ps can I open storage manually. Unfortunately I think the one you found wouldn't fit - if you can see it has the electrical connection in the middle of the fan, whereas on my one the socket is off to the side.

Newbie Audi owner A8L 3.0 TDI Quattro

Hey guys, new to the forum! Ive bought an insurance write off audi s3 2014. All work has been done and ive finally got it out on a drive yesterday! All runs and drives perfectly. Only issues I'm having at the moment is; Loud start up revs sits at 1k for a minute then drops and quietens down during idle (am I right that this is normal?) Engine oil level ok Rough idle, it stutters like its about to stall maybe every 30 secs? Bit smokey during idle (fault code shown for this) Also loud rattle when engines warmed up, seems to be coming from camshaft cover top end. Disconnected both camshaft magnets but didn't make a difference, (rattling wasn't loud at that point) I have plugged diag in and the fault codes shows; Ive changed spark plugs due to misfiring when I first bought it, I don't want to throw money into the car for replacing the wrong parts. Can anyone point me in the right direction on which part I need to be looking at?

Your best bet is to get a complete Bose set up from a donor. You'll need the sub too. I thought it was under the passenger seat. But you've also looked in the boot too. Should definitely be in one of those locations I think

Thank you so much for the suggestion. The oil cooler turned up (ordered from Autodoc for £38 with gasket) and was fitted a few days ago. The oil cooler gasket was also replaced and the oil filter housing gasket was wrecked and botched with silicone before. This was also replaced. Also a new brown low oil pressure sensor from febi bilstein at the same time, to replace the official Audi one, although the last one was changed recently too, thought I may aswell do that. Had a few spirited drives to try get the warning up again, but nothing so far! I'm going to mark this as a solution for now and if it somehow happens again, I will update this thread. As things stand the oil cooler and gaskets seem to have done the trick. My greatest appreciation to Cliff for this suggestion, thank you so much. I'd love to buy you a drink sir!

Hello there, I'm in the process of trying to find an Audi A4 B9 to buy and have a few trim related questions. A little background. I'd like a upgraded sound system, and quietness (to enjoy the sound system) is high on my priorities. Nice to have are leather seats and Android Auto. Budget will only really stretch to an older model: 2016-2018. I've found an SE with a B&O 3d sound system as part of a Comfort and Sound Pack 1) Are a subwoofer and a spare tyre mutually exclusive (i.e can you have both or is it an either/or scenario)? 2) if I get a basic (SE) trim, apart from the seats and suspension and styling are there any structural differences to the Sport/S-line? Especially as regards sound proofing 3) If I got some S-line seats (I've seen some on eBay) could I fit them into an SE 4) I believe I can get Android Auto on an older B9 with a retrofit kit. Hi, I did not have the chance to get my injector replaced yet. I need the car almost every day of the week and it's very difficult to find time for this. I have an appointment for the 26th of May to finally get this done. I also have the exact same condition as described by you. A very noticeable clicking/tapping noise when the engine is cold which then goes away almost completely when the engine warms up. If the car idles for a longer period, the tapping comes back. The engine stutter is still happening from time to time. Some days it's better, some days it's worse. Literally 2 hours ago I came back from the 4th mechanic (break pads needed changing) and he also listened to the noise and confirmed it's the 5th cylinder injector - driver side, middle cylinder. I purchased the new injector last week and the only thing remaining now is to get it installed by someone. We checked the real time values of the return fuel and this injector had almost double the values of the collective baseline at 50+ mg/h I'll provide an update after I get this done.

I need help, I can't find the amplifier, it's neither in the trunk on the left side or under the front seats, I don't know anymore. I have a basic setup, I bought Bose speakers without an amplifier, the right door has stopped working, I want to fix it and the first thing I wanted to do was to check the amplifier, but I can't find it. Does anyone know if I even have one there? Thank you for any help.

Hello I strongly recommend not to buy this car. I had alot of sleep less nights because of this problem. Im Lucky i traded mine in for a Passat Bitdi which is similar performance with a stage 1 tune and imo much more reliable since ive owned one before from 120k km to 210k without any issues except for break and oil change.

Hey Dongleboo, Did you get to the bottom of this? I test drove a 2012 Audi A6 Avant 3.0 TDI on Saturday and felt exactly the same judder that you experienced, worst I found in higher gears at slower speeds when the engine was under more load and lower RPM I could feel almost a misfire, seller said he believed it was due to a injector that he has agreed to change what was noisy when cold. Wondered if this fixed it for you? I have to re test the car before purchasing but would love to know if the injector solved it for you, would give me a little more peace of mind!

OK David -missed that last sentence. Possible coolant temperature sensor that senses the coolant temperature and signals the ECU to provide the correct mixture in relation to coolant temperature?? They can fail to an arbitrary condition where starting and running mixture is too weak.

He says it's the 1.8 turbo petrol in the OP.
