  3. Hello Matt, Replacing the ABS sensors on all wheels is not the way to go. Getting it plugged in to diagnostics is - to home in on the offending component. Perhaps you could let us know how you get on. Kind regards, Gareth.
  4. Morning all, New user, Just purchased a 2017 S5 cab in Misano Red, where the previous owner has black wrapped all the chrome and added a honeycomb grill. Looks mean as hell ngl. The the only issue being that it's the grill without the rings. Is there a preferred go to option for adding a set of black rings to these aftermarket honeycomb grills? Car hasn't been delivered yet but I'd like it to be my first mod just to make it look right in my eyes 🙂 UK here if it matters for any links. I do have 4 3D printers so there is always the option of printing my own I suppose 🙂 Just means getting the big one up and running as my working ones are too small for the size of the B9 rings. Any input or ideas appreciated, Thanks James
  5. Hi No the ABS light is not on.
  6. Hello Jay, The definitive answer usually lies in the Owners Handbook. Have you looked there? It could just be me, but I haven’t noticed any oil grade and specification-within-grade stickers. ‘Common to find under the hood’ - ? Just as a matter of interest:- your terminology ‘hood’ rather than bonnet - any American association? Kind regards, Gareth.
  7. You need to see which sensors aren't working, if you have the car plugged in you can monitor the abs sensors, they should read the same or thereabouts. Is the abs light on at all?
  8. Sorted - now in the thread title James. Kind regards, Gareth.
  9. Hello! I recently purchased Audi A6 C7, 3.0BTDI and on low rpm it sounds like a tractor. ( like a normal 3.0tdi but no turbines ) When i got to 2k rpm it start sounds like a 3.0Btdi. Is this normal? Thank you!

  14. Hello, Can anyone confirm where their sticker is for this vehicle type? I know that it is common to find under the hood. Either on the radiator cover, or on the underneath of the bonnet. I also checked the fuel sticker. In the manual it only says in a cryptic way that you should check with your dealer, or otherwise you can top up 1ltr of 504 or 508 in an emergency. I had assumed the EA888 Gen3B would be 0w20 only, but 504 would suggest otherwise.
  15. My 2020 etron won't charge with Gridserve 50w 300w chargers, gave car to Audi who did an update Now doesn't work on gridserve or BP pulse
  16. Cheers Steve appreciated
  17. Is that the water pump that is attached to the timing belt your meaning? The switchable one? I’m meaning more the electrical support pumps.there is definitely one under the engine right under the DPF/EGR but not sure if there is another
  18. PS the only electrical bit on the main pump is the baffle the rest is cam belt driven.
  19. Hi as you look at the engine from the front its under the timing cover on the right hand side, you should see a wire coming out at the top of the r/h side thats the electrical connector for the pump baffle this operates by covering the impeller blades so that the engine warms up quicker, once up to temp the shield moves back and allows full flow via the impeller, the pump on the right of the engine is auxiliary and only comes into play when the engine is stopped in extremely high temps and continues to pump coolant round to stop the cylinder head from cracking.
  20. Hi they are tamper proof screws they are normally drilled out but a word to the wise only touch anything in there while wearing latex gloves as the sweat on your fingers will kill things. Steve.
  21. How to remove x2 circled red sections without damage ? Seems like what's holding it in place the silver weld. Local electrician is giving a look before a pay £499 for new unit
  22. So its all been checked and wiring maf and other components are fine so possible ecu issue (audi specialist) Anyone know how to remove internal ecu from case
  23. I'm just wondering if it's possible to buy gloss black versions of the two rear grills on the edge of the rear bumper and the long one between the exhaust tips on an 8y sportback. The factory ones are a bit grey and dull. I've replaced the front corner ones with gloss to match the front grill but can't find all three rear ones.
  24. Over the last few weeks I have had this message come up on the dash. I can clear it by hitting the child lock bottom on the drivers side, and then turning off the child lock again, but it comes back again. I wonder if anyone else has had this with the A3 and, if so, how it was solved. Is it expensive to fix!
  25. And spoke too soon. Error light is back. Throttle/pedal position sensor/switch "B" circuit range/performance Aaaaaargh
  26. Hi Rybrook. So that light is on all the time and ESP will not do anything, so what are you recommending to get the light off, replace abs sensors on every wheel?
  27. Thanks James, and what price will you be asking for it - as opposed to offers? Kind regards, Gareth.
