  2. Hi. I have an audi q7 2010 that was parked for 2 weeks. After getting the car started cause it had a flat battery the driver side and drivers rear did not lift up whereas the passenger side and passenger rear has lifted. I did have the yellow light on the dash which has been on for a couple of months now the code i got from that was the 01772 code but the air system worked fine. Now going over bumps is very uncomfortable as there is no air on one side of the vehicle

  4. I’ll answer my own question, in case it is ever helpful to anyone else. I changed a 2018 door for a 2019. There was no facelift till the 2020 model, but must be that the 2020 model launched sep 19. The door control unit between the two cars was slightly different, so I ended up switching out the door wiring loom and control unit, and for good measure the window motor and speaker, and all seems good.
  5. Hi everyone, Thank you for the various responses - much appreciated. I will post an update once I’ve picked it up and taken it for a spin. Will post jobs/prices etc. It’s had some Powerflex bushes also … as they were severely perished and the Audi/OEMs were on back order. Any recommendations on window tinting? I’ve been looking for some details on the factory tinting %s to have this replicated (as mine does not have this option). I drive in Europe quite a lot … so it’s for practical rather than aesthetic reasons TBH. Also found out that factory tinted glass vs aftermarket tinting stops virtually no heat/UV … Any advice appreciated!
  6. My settings are already on the least sensitive. Still happens. Doesn’t real worry me though. I’m keeping it into its fourth year now as I quite like it and nothing within a reasonable price that is compatible came up. I’ve got exactly 12 months to plan what’s next…
  7. Did you find out what it was mine just done exactly the same now. Please let me know.
  8. those error messages are in fact a frequent thing and it comes down to the sensitivity of your settings (radar, collision assist etc). You can adjust your settings to pick up far less in the realms or items vs distance but not recommended. FYI the car records loss of vision or detection as faults and stay logged until removed. I recently had Audi assist come out for something else related I had 136 codes stored and following that CAM bus errors because of how many were stored. I was politely reminded that these issues have become a common issue causing modules to slow down or self fault due to bus memory being clogged with error codes. from time to time it’s recommended to review and clear. Ideally around service intervals. You’d think your main dealer would do this as part of their service but they don’t and leave them…
  9. I have contacted my local dealer who went through the process of getting hold of the exploded diagrams. their verdict was that it may not fit the pre-facelift bumper/grille housing which I thought was odd given it’s the same relative size and location as before.
  10. Has it come with a spare key, if so try it either that first. As it could be an issue with the key (most likely) or an issue with the receiver. If bought from a dealer in the last 30 days then the supplying dealer should fix this FOC.
  11. I'd recommend you speak to other remappers such as revo, darkside developments, Celtic tuning as example.
  12. Speaking from an owner from a similar aged Audi (A6 C5) Interior trim is hard to come by and some external trim is becoming short supply. Service history is key and make sure there's no smell of damp ect of water ingress. Check footwells for damp carpets. Make sure all electronic items work as they can be expensive to change.
  13. Hi all, Newbie here, I've been looking for a nice MK1 S3, a lot available have been heavily modified and been to the moon and back. I understand that they can be a right money pit if I'm not careful and end up costing a fortune to sort out. I've seen a couple up for sale, one seems to be pretty mint to be fair with 57k on the clock, my question is, is there anything in particular that I need to look for, and what is a fair price for an 8L in good nick and low miles in 2024? Any advice would be much appreciated
  14. My 550i had almost every option aside from night vision, it was quite a beast - but it was an SE and silver and looked to everyone like a 525i which appealed to me. I bought it from a dealer 9 years ago for a scarcely believable £7500, it was right at the time when almost everyone was ditching petrol for diesel and there was no market for a v8 estate. Funny you should mention “the car Bangle spannered” because I do remember that very well - but I have to say the car has really grown into its looks and I am quite a fan. As you say - most of them now are either leggy with no service history or very expensive for what they are. 530i specs also compare unfavourably in every respect to the 3.0 TFSI and as I read more about that engine I became increasingly interested - plus having never owned an Audi or a supercharged car I thought it was about time! I haven’t even seen in the metal or driven the car I’ve bought yet - the 3.0 TFSI A6 Avant seems just as rare as a 550i touring, hence I looked far afield, so the drive home on Wednesday is something I’m looking forward to - having said that, it’s 200 miles of m4 so I’m not really expecting many thrills. I will report back and if I go to Phantom Tuning I will let you know how I get on there!
  15. I put it down to the camera maybe picking up something that it couldn’t decifer, or maybe dust / dirt obstructing it. It’s never caused any issues. I think this has been brought up on here previously with no real conclusion.
  16. Thanks Jammy, appreciate the response, quite agree it has never actually caused any issues so far with driving the car other than, as you say, having to reset. Thanks again
  17. I get them, same four alerts which seem to be linked to the camera. Always have since new, now at 3 years. They’re pretty meaningless and reset after turning the car off and back on. They have never interfered with the actual function of the car so I think it’s a software bug / issue. I’ve never bothered pursuing it as it causes me zero issues and knowing how these things can be a can of worms that never get resolved and take over hours, days or weeks of your life…
  18. Hi Steve, thank you very much for your response. The remap is what the tuning person is offering but they are asking for £500 for the remap alone and I was wondering if this is reasonable. I do understand replacing the cooler is a lot more expensive and given the fault code I am almost certain it is the EGR cooler. many thanks
  19. You can get the adblue system and egr mapped out with a remap I believe. Just bare in mind any not tester that believes you've tampered with the emissions system of the vehicle can report you. But if done by a remap and the hardware still in place like the egr then they'd have no reason to believe it's been deactivated if you see what I mean
  20. WhatsApp Video 2024-04-27 at 15.38.25_b6102a28 (online-video-cutter.com) (1).mp4 Well apparently the sound is is coming out of my 2013 A3 Howdy, Audi Folks I'm looking for help Someone came to view my Audi A3 to buy today, but the engine sound put them off. 😭 I'll take it Monday to see if I can get it diagnosed. But just wondering if anybody here would have any idea what this clicking noise is when the engine is revved? Or is it normal? attached is a video of the engine running Thank you Helena Audi A3 1.6 TDI SE Sportback Diesel Manual
  21. No blue smoke and it's been in the shop several times they told me it was the timing chain got it fixed then a oil sensor got it fixed and the light stayed off for 2 weeks back on oil not leaking internally
  22. Hello. My Audi has a "hickup" where the engine cuts out for a split second , it does it only one or twice at around 3.000 RPM, at 4.000 or above it's more frequent and it doesn't happen all the time. Not lights on the dash, nothing shows up on VCDS scan , the oxygen sensor was changed recently as well as the injectors with new o-rings. Any ideas what could it be?
  23. Hi there. Just located a small leak from the front left residual valve. I purchased one from Ebay which was an Audi part and to fit it to the suspension leg requires a 10mm spanner. However the old one, still on the car, doesn't appear to have a nut head to take a socket or spanner to remove. Maybe I'm not looking close enough. Any help or advice much appreciated. Thanks Renato
  24. Hi everyone, my Audi a5 B9 has recently been throwing these two faults. A local running centre has said they can bypass the egr cooler and delete the adblue system. I am not sure if this would make the problem worse or cause issues longer. Has anyone else experienced this? thanks
  25. Yeah I tried with new comma 4 brake fluid and still the same 🤔, i get a slight fluctuation/ flicker on the brake pressure reading from 0.64 to 0.88 when normal however I get a full 120+ when I Press the brake pedal , going to check the wiring around the brakes see if there's a split
  26. Hi I have bought a 2016 Q7 but the boot won't open with the key fob . It will open when I press the button on the boot and use the switch in the car but not with the button on the key fob . Has anyone had this problem or knows anything about it .
  27. Thanks Gareth. No we are only an hour away from the car. I will have a look on google for an Audi sales team in that area. many thanks again. fiona.
