Hi, Looking for some help please, (vehicle type in topic title) - In the first instance I went to regas my A/C, the engineer that attended mentioned the system was full and that he had carried out leak tests and confirmed no leaks were present. However he could see from his instruments that when I switched the A/C on, the compressor wasn't switching on and that a number of things could be causing it. (He mainly only does regassing and not an actual A/C repair specialist). I did a fair abit of reading and a common issue stemmed from the high pressure switch, which I've replaced with a brand new one. I've also checked ALL the A/C fuses and they're fine too. There are no other issues present at all, car blower works like factory, heating elements are fine etc A/C is still blowing air at normal temperature (literally no difference in how cold the air is when the A/C is switched on compared to off). Does anyone have any ideas or come across this before? Thanks, Rohit.

No probs at all. Once seats are out I think the plastic side trims round the base of the door apertures unclip and some clips just under the dash. Please keep us posted on how you get on

I agree with Gareth, take it to a local garage. If it does have an electronic handbrake when this will need to be put in the service position by vcds or similar

Is the fuel cap flap supposed to be locked when I lock up the car? Locked the car and I could still open the fuel cap flap?! if it's not lockable, is it possible to retrofit something to lock the cap when I lock the car? Many thanks, Alex

Thanks for joining Anderson, Have you ever renewed discs and pads before, and on a car equipped with an electronic handbrake - which I take it yours has? If not, do not attempt it, but entrust the job to your trusted local garage (which just cost you substantially less than the main dealer quote). What brands of discs and pads are you considering? Interesting, I’m not sure about dismantling the dash or the quality of Chinese stuff bought through Aliexpress though! did you have to remove the centre console to get the AC unit etc out? im also a bit concerned about the reliability of the new unit. I’ve bought stuff via Aliexpress before and it failed soon after purchase. No chance of getting my money back from them, they just kept fobbing me off knowing that there’s no recourse or anything to make them refund you, sent stuff back only for them to deny it’s arrived, even after I’d sent it recorded delivery & had a received receipt & signature. I’m guessing there’s no other aftermarket source for head units? i hope yours continues to work ok, but I’m not all keen to buy from China anymore tbh, even though that looks a good system.

We love it. Handling is lovely, looks great, practical boot. 2 issues, both which a change of driving style I hope will minimise: wheelspin from stationary (especially if joining from a sharp bend slip-road, though it can occur even at a cross-roads) slight delay in throttle response when you want to "nip" between cars at a junction (not sure if this is the Stronic box, the throttle mapping or what) Not sure about mpg yet. How about you?

That's strange - do a screenshot of the different software versions in settings and will compare to mine. Originally before any updates the message that came up when getting into car was wireless only available for Apple. Now it says Apple and Android - wondering if MMI software hasn't been updated. How you getting on with car other than that ?

Changed the window reg on my q7 (driver's side) but for some reason when winding the window back up, it stops and opens half way again. I have to wind it back up clicking on the button a few times rather than pulling the button up in just one go. I have tried re-learning the power windows and checked to see if there was anything that was in the way but nothing.

My A5 S-line is firm, but comfortable. On poor roads with potholes you feel it, but it rides speed bumps at pace and with absorption.

@Broadband007bond I got the same snapshot version as you! Wireless Carplay does not seem to be activated, even thought I asked them to check for 5Ghz wifi networks. Mine is a March 21 registered MY2020 car, built way back in 2019 (which I wish they told me). Keep me posted in June if you still get map updates, as mine does not get any, so the last one is Feb 2024.

Hi @Magnet, My car was at the dealership for a s/w update. I asked for the build list, but all I got when they returned the car is a printout of the optional extras, which they called the vehicle spec along with the service history (not sure why).

Hi there just joined, and hoping someone can offer some help?! Urgently searching for answers. I have a 2018 Audi A3 8v 1.5tfsi sport back, it’s due a brake change, I got a quote from the main dealer for all corners, pads and discs.. £975!! Eye watering! My MOT is also due on the 4th (cutting it fine) so I’m going to order pads and brakes myself and do it. Could anyone give me an idea of what the oem parts are? I have had the car remapped to roughly 220bhp but still don’t feel the need to uprate the brakes..

Got this sorted. Had to get rack refurbished. Company said that ecu on rack read and faults were water damage and voltage inconsistency. Found broken wire on loom travelling over back differential. Got this replaced and rack fitted and after 8 weeks we are out and about again 🤦🏼

Hey all, bought this a6 back in sep 23, it’s pre face lift model. My wife drives everyday, reasonably long runs. Around 120 miles everyday with school runs etc. I have noticed the fuel efficiency is surprisingly poor in this model. Around mid 30’s mpg. Is this normal?

I have an 2013 Audi A6 2.0 TDI S-line and this noise recently occurred, my mechanic(Audi technician) said it was aircon pump but this has been fitted and it still continues to make the noise, I have also had oils changed and new tensioner fitted and that hasn’t worked either any help would be great FullSizeRender.MOV
