Audi A4 B8 central Locking Fault

Featured Replies

Hi all 🤚🏼
new to group and unfortunately it’s help/advise I’m in need of.

I have an Audi A4 B8 with a central locking problem.
The key is a smart key that slots into the dash.
Once in a blue moon the remote will operate the central locking after sync in the ignition.

Replaced the fob battery and I’ve replaced the ignition reader/slot in dash as it did use to struggle releasing the key.

Still the same though.

I’ve had vcds scan and it didn’t give me any errors. The fob has been tested and it’s giving out a strong signal.

Any of you chaps came across an error like this before If so is there a fix? Or is it simply main dealer only fix?

Thanks in advance guys

I coul be wrong but the fault on my B8 which would randomly deadlock 1, 2, 3 or all doors at once making it impossible to get in.

Turned out that rear door actuators were faulty and these were interfering with the front door locks.

Replaced both rear actuators.. Solved it.
