CAHA engine strange temperature and heating issue FIXED

Recommended Posts

Hi all I recently had an issue with the car running cold even after a long drive and I also had no heaters in the car.

Anyway after spending some time checking which coolant hoses were getting hot I found there is a small thermostat at the rear of the engine in a heater matrix size hose it looks like a coupling but inside it has a thermostat. It’s  a bit awkward to replace you have to remove the plenum chamber panel at the back of the engine for access and the thermostat is located in the lowest hose just about the transmission bell housing. I spoke with my local Audi parts hub and it was out of stock so I got one from my local factors using the part number 1K0121113A or 1K0121113A if you Google either part number you will see what you are looking for if you need further information just message me on here.

Anyway I hope this helps somebody

Regard Andy
