Hi, i have a 2012 Q7 which has the 2G Tech Pack Low sat nav.

I really want the AMI to allow ipod integration.

Has anyone bought a Dension or similar after market system?

I didnt want to pay the dealer £595 for the OEM system.

I've never had an issue with I Pod integration so I don't know much about it. You might want to check that the I Pod even recognizes it first. Could be that it's not pairing with the unit which sometimes it does have to do.

Been looking at a few OEM kits for sale on Ebay but unsure if they will need to be dealer coded afterwards.

My suspicion is that they would have to be dealer coded. I'm not entirely sure but I wouldn't mind putting a crafty fiver on it.
